Story line was good. Narration was terrible.

Did not like virtual voice. Too choppy no emotion detected where necessary to create our evoke emotion.

Fantastic & Unique

Wow! What a great horror story.
Yes, while there were several continuity problems that should’ve been caught by a copy editor, the story was very unique and really held my attention.

The only real negative was the virtual narration…too robotic with serious errors in cadence almost as tho there was no punctuation. This story would’ve been so much better with a real narrator! I wish Amazon/Audible could do better in this area!!

The Virtual Voice

The virtual voice, it was too disconnected, not enough fluctuation, most of the time monotone, and sometimes the sentences were broken up. In my opinion, this story would’ve been really good if it had been read by a narrator.

I listen to the entire story, I considered no longer listening in the beginning of the story, in the middle of the story and fought my way through to the end. I think I kept hoping for it to get better and found myself wanting to hear how it ended. I believe my struggle was the virtual voice.

Story good - Narration awful

Story was good - didn’t necessarily like the way the story ended. Was not aware that it was AI narration as I would not have purchased it if I had seen that. The narration of the story is awful – the whole reason you buy Audible books is to hear voice inflections, active persons, and to be able to feel like you know the characters. No way to get a connection to the characters. I will never buy another book that has AI.

Interesting but monotone

The storyline kept me interested, but the monotone by Virtual Voice was pretty funny to me. I couldn't stop listening to the story as I had to hear what would happened next. I'm sure that in due time Virtual Voice will have emotions for the listener to get a truer understanding of the content. Other than that, great listen.
