Disappointing resolution

Slow to build and a disappointing villain. Narrator was monotone. Not my favorite but I stuck it out.

Would Have Been a Five

I really liked the story line plot. The narration is what kept the rating from being a five. I wish there had been a male reading the male voices.

Maybe other time

A bit slow to develop, had to drop because I feel it might be perfect for the time when I can focus on it but for my day to day listening, while doing house chores, I find myself zoning out a lot and losing interest

Love this book - this author and narrator. Well thought out and complete - a great story and the narrator is one of my absolute favorites!

Wow that was fantastic!!

Normally I stay away from gaslighting books because they drive me crazy, the text is beyond repetitive and the plot is stagnant. Well none of that happens in this book. Like true, deeply disturbing manipulation, the gaslighting in the story is subtle at first, scratch your head, question yourself, then builds to the point that the only conclusion is you’ve lost your mind! Character development is so so good in both primary and secondary characters. As the plot barrels towards the end, the obstacle course of other plot twists, that were always in play, now explode on their own to such a great conclusion!

Amy McFadden again excels at voicing the various characters, emotional ranges and gender!!

surprise ending

This story kept me guessing all the way to the end. Quite a surprise ending.

I started this book a couple times and couldn’t get into it third times a charm it’s worth it. What a fun adventure.

I hate that this has a word count because I feel like my review title tells you exactly how I feel this book became super fun, but it’s a slow build or maybe a bit disconnected, but it comes together nicely and it’s so fun with twists and turns and some I picked up on, but not all of it I would wouldn’t mind a prequel episode of her life and Time with her stepdad just saying it would be a fun book!
