Loved the characters
The story was intriguing. Kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happened next. I like the way the writer added in assumptions people often make and then showed how they were wrong to assume without knowing facts.
The narrator did a wonderful job as well.
It was an enjoyable listen.

Repetitive
I do not recommend this book!! The jumping back and forth is annoying, after a while I lost interest. Half of the book is about a baby not sleeping and neighbors peering and listening - not exaggerating!! I decided to finish the book, the storyline became more disappointing.

Good listen
I enjoyed how the author addressed racism that is a real problem in the Nation. I enjoyed the unconditional love shown by the husband. I also enjoyed what some cultures face when they make decisions that are contrary to what their culture believes and or practices.

It was disjointed
Hard to follow at times. Weird plot.. not sure it was for me. Needed expansion with way more detail.
