I really love this series. I appreciate when I can invest of the lives of the characters of a book and the series continues that. These books have been really good so far and I appreciate the individual books stories but the individual points of view if each character. On to the next book (5)!

Like these books, love the series

Disliked Anna’s ability to only see her life in such narrow terms, as a shallow individual completely occupied with material things, no friends really beyond her wealthy neighbors. And as a compliant foil for her husband’s needs. Humiliating. Her life only became interesting once she started coping with reality. But I liked that our main character let herself find a deep friendship and romantic partner in Sam. She deserves companionship after looking out for so many others. The father getting sober was a definite bonus! And I love Cate’s job satisfaction and happiness with Ellis.

The murder case was interesting but very hard to reconcile the loss of a beloved character everyone loved.

I’m not sure what to say just that I enjoyed this book very much. The many stories woven together carefully, and I felt something that could really happen. Warmed my heart - in a way of contentment with justice and not in a gushy way!

So far the best of the series
