I'm done playing by my father's rules.
Lex Edwards may rule the business world, but he no longer controls me. We did, however, come to one agreement—I'm allowed to take a gap year before college to travel through Europe. But, one year to the day, I must return home.
On my travels, I met April. She's like me—escaping life back home until we're both forced to go back. April offers me a place to stay, and since I'm broke and in dire need of a job, I'll take anything over going back to my controlling father.
That's when I'm offered an opportunity I can't possibly refuse. April finds me a job at her stepfather's company.
Hunter Cash is a difficult boss—demanding, arrogant, challenging, but also devastatingly handsome. And—he's out to destroy my father.
I've broken all the rules already. So, what if I break another and sleep with the enemy? What's the worst that can happen…
Craving Love is the first book in the Secret Love series. This book is best enjoyed after the Dark Love or Forbidden Love series. Some of the characters in this book are from previous works.

I’m not sure what I think yet. While her relationship with Hunter seems to be more significant than that with Cole’s, the book doesn’t get into much of an emotional connection…So for both of them to be reaching the conclusion that they are in love with each other towards the end of this book, it seems pretty weak as far as storylines go. Also, at the end Alexa has “reached” the conclusion to tell April. I say “reached” as there is nothing leading up to it late mention in the book that indicated she was agonizing over it or even gave it a thought before. Sounds like this is going to be a big part of the storyline in the next book and I’m kinda like “so where did that come from?” I guess we’ll see. Lastly, I agree with the another reviewer when they thought that the storyline of her getting pregnant, especially for a second time, is rather unbelievable. She isn’t uneducated nor lacking in resources so why didn’t she do anything? Hello, anyone ever heard of Plan B? To be continued

Nope.
as for the mail love interest.... ick. just... ICK!! the narrator's voice doesn't help. the few books i've read with this trope always have the same tone and attitude and it's a turn off. Granted, i've never even met a billionaire, so maybe this is how they sound in real life. all i know is i couldn't stand his voice as he read that awful dialogue.
This Hunter character was completely one-dimensional. zero character at all, actually. totally forgettable. can't conjure one memorable quote (worth repeating) and that's a shame because he had potential. this author spent more time fleshing out the gay, inconsequential side character. we learn more about that guy in the first couple of chapters and then he won't go away. he offered nothing to the story. and then she went on to flesh out ALL the sisters(the mother got her own little chapter that served no purpose) and the woman who hired Alexa. i actually wanted to know more about HER, not these other people who were supposed to be main characters. it seems weird to say this but, i didn't find anything about these people even remotely relatable. not that i expect to be on the same shelf as the so-called elite. but they have no personalities, no interests, passions, no pets. no real conflict that money can't solve. literally every problem they have could easily be walked away from. i can't relate to that. i want to see characters forced to endure impossible and inescapable situations.
Overall, this book does not inspire me to read any further. i don't care if the stories improve. as it stands, it's pretty predictable and not the least bit interesting.
Couldn't Wait For it to End
