I like this actually better than the first book. It was long enough to give all the characters the time that they needed to develop and their relationships to grow. Though I gotta admit I do hate her doing this cliffhanger every book thing it’s annoying.

Finding good narrators for Audible romance books is incredibly difficult. You can have a great book, but a s****y narrator and it can ruin the experience. I was nervous, because Clementine Dove is the GOAT. This book, I am blown away. The narrators, AMAZING. I’m already a Theodora super-fan, but now I have to find more books narrated by J.Y. and Will.
This will be a book I’ll listen too again!

I’m a fool for Scottish accent. The narrators in this book did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life. I will say that if you’re not used to the narrator, Will Watt you may need to slow down the speed. He already talks fast and his thick accent makes it difficult at times. This in no way bothers me. In fact, I love it.

The FMC Lenora all she wants to do is protect her daughter, and all I wanted her to do was, to run, to leave, to get as far away as she could from her husband. He is terrible. The MMC Alban… swoon!! He’s a shifter wolf and super grumpy. But the banter between Lenora, her daughter, and Alban was hilarious. I loved seeing Alban interact and bond with Dori.

Need more!!!

Please tell me we have at least two more books coming. I need to know what happened to the younger sister and the other mail order brides.

Love these Scots!

Leora and Alban’s love story has everything, family, love, passion, mystery and danger. Alban is one of my favorite heroes. Loving Leora so much he can’t help but love everything about her including her child on first sight. What a man!
