Good introduction to the series

This first story in this series introduces the listener to the owner and members of Harper Security Ops.
Harper Security is not only a security firm, but also a tactical and self defense training center.
When Tarryn Hendrix’s sister is violently assaulted, Tarryn is determined to take matters into her own hands . For the past two years she’s been training at Haper Security with the goal of taking down those who destroyed her beloved sister.
What happens when Royce Harper, owner of Harper Security, realizes what Tarryn is up to? Will he help her understand the danger she’s putting herself in? Will he help Tarryn in her determination to find justice?
On a personal basis, will these two act on the attraction?
The plot was engaging and the characters likable.
Mega Sylvan and James Cavenaugh did a very good job with the narrations.

This was a great listen! I love the narrators. They did a fantastic job. Plus the story is Really good!

Wonderful audio to my favorite series!!

Tarryn is heartbroken after her sister is assaulted and moves away in order to heal. She misses her sister and is willing to do anything to have her back, even if that means putting herself at risk. After training with Harper Security for over two years, she sets her plans into motion to take down everyone responsible for hurting her sister.

Royce, owner of Harper Security, discovers what Tarryn is doing and refuses to allow her to put herself in harms way. He’s determined to get justice for Tarryns sister.

This book was a great start to my favorite Evans series! After reading the book, I didn’t think I could love it anymore. Listening to the audio proved that wrong. There’s just something about the emotion in the voices that really amplify the story. I can’t wait to listen to the next book. Royce & Tarryn are the perfect example of the depths you’ll go to for the ones you love. They are the perfect team & couple.

Royce and Taryn Start Off A Fabulous New Series

Every time I read an A.K. Evans' book, I am always amazed at the quality story she delivers every time. From small details like powdered donuts to paint color on walls, that build up the realistic lives of all the characters in each book. Taryn takes self-defense and shooting lessons from Harper Security, which is owned by Royce. He follows the rules and avoids his attraction for her for two years until he saves her from a bad situation. After she agrees to not go after the men that hurt her sister, he breaks his cardinal rule of no fraternizing with the clients and an amazing relationship is born.

The audio was excellent with both narrators doing a great job portraying Taryn and Royce.

HEA!

Oh how I wanted to throttled Tarryn when she thought self-defense classes would do it for her to take down the guy who assaulted her sister. But if it wasn't for her darkening the Harper Security doorway, she and Royce may not have crossed paths. Good thing he had some sense in his head to convince Tarryn to stand down. There was so much attraction between the two that it was hard for them to resist being together.

Meg Sylvan is fast becoming a new favorite female narrator. She voiced Tarryn so well, bringing out the character's personality. Teddy Hamilton has been a favorite male narrator of mine. Both narrators had soothing voices that brought this story to life.
