Run rabbit run!

Elise Liddell is no country girl, but she’s not averse to the existence of rabbits.

Especially cute and fluffy white ones.

But there’s one on the loose in Tumble Town.

And that particular sweet bunny turns out to be a harbinger of death....

Every time Elise spots it, she soon discovers another corpse. Keen to help her ex-colleagues at the Ministry of Witches Police Department solve the murders, Elise launches her own investigation alongside the rest of her team at the Wonderland Detective Agency.

The problem is, they’re not the only ones trying to get to the bottom of the situation...and now the hunters have become the hunted.

The Wonderland Detective Agency Series is a paranormal cozy mystery series, set in the same universe that Wonky Inn audiences have already fallen in love with. While some of the characters and places will be instantly familiar, Wycherley effortlessly casts her spell so that her zany new friends quickly become ours, too.

Clean and cozy, The Rabbit Hole Murders, the second book in this wonderful new series, is chock-full of witches, wizards, warlocks, ghosts, shadow people, rabbits, and more. You’ll love this glimpse into the darker side of the Wonkyverse.

This is the second of a new series and as such shows a lot of weakness. It does have potential to be a top notch Detective story.
I found it mildly entertaining but I do have trouble with focusing attention.
The narrator on the other hand needs improvement. Her voices are close in sound which is distracting. Elise's voice has a slur which I don't recall from the earlier story.
So far her ghost partner has very little to do with the story. I hope this changes.

This is a really interesting series. Though I don't recommend listening to it before bed because it will give you some really crazy dreams. The narrator is great at bringing the characters to life and I look forward to more.

"WONDERLAND DETECTIVE AGENCY", doesn't that sound good, Ex Detective Inspector Elise Liddell certainly thinks so as she starts her next investigation on the bodies collecting in Tumble Town, with Snitch, the humble and heart of gold assistant, Wooton, the ex bar tender - come gifted organizer of the new business, the recently deceased ghost DoDo always the clever complainer and her intrepid ex partner DI Ezra, she sets out like Alice to follow the white rabbit.

The characters are colorful, entertaining and so well narrated by Joanna Lee that the reader/listener become part of the story.
Recommended, Clean, paranormal mystery.

I enjoyed this book as much as the first one in the series. I thought the mystery was complex and convoluted, so that I was always guessing as to the outcome. I listened to some segments with bated breath as there were some tense moments. I liked Elise Liddell as she was feisty and determined. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I thought Joanna Lee's narration was easy to follow and reflected the aura of the tale. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

Jeannie Wycherley has done it again with The Rabbit Hole Murders, the second installment in the Wonderland Detective Agency series. This paranormal cozy witch mystery is a delightful return to the quirky, magical world of the Wonkyverse, and I couldn’t be happier to revisit it. The story is rich with familiar references to characters and places from the beloved Wonky Inn series, which adds a layer of charm and continuity that fans will absolutely adore.

The mystery itself is engaging and well-paced, with just the right blend of whimsy and suspense. Wycherley’s writing is vivid and imaginative, making it easy to get lost in the peculiar yet endearing world she’s created. The characters are as eccentric and lovable as ever, and their interactions bring both humor and heart to the narrative.

Joanna Lee’s narration is a perfect match for the tone of the story. She brings each character to life with distinct voices and expressive delivery, enhancing the immersive experience. Her performance captures the magical essence of the Wonkyverse while keeping the mystery grounded and compelling.

If you’re a fan of cozy mysteries with a paranormal twist, and especially if you’ve enjoyed the Wonky Inn series, this audiobook is a must-listen. It’s clever, cozy, and completely captivating from start to finish.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
