Great Narration and Story

Book 5 in the series- definitely need to read (listen to) other book first. This is not a stand alone. Action, suspense, Hot Hot Hot sex scenes. Cliffhanger ending - July can not come fast enough to find out the ending!

What a cliffhanger?!?

Amazing narration as always! The little clues left throughout the storyline with the bodyguards was a great build up to the ending of book 3. Can’t wait for the continuation of Maxence and Drew’s story.

Cliffhanger...again!!!! What’s next for Maxence and Dree?

Yes, I knew there was a cliffhanger when I started reading (and listening - I’ve done both). Doesn’t mean I have to like it. That said, I have been living Maxence’s story and Blair Babylon’s writing still keeps me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The narrators did a wonderful job bringing the story and characters to life. My only complaint is that I have to wait to find out how things turn out for Maxence and Dree...

Brilliant addition to series

This is the third book that involves Maxence and Drew.
Yes you really need to read or listen to the books in order.
There’s plenty of action drama suspense twists and turns
that have you well and truly glued to each page.
Finishes up on a cliffhanger.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book and listen to the
audio as well. The narrator really brings the book alive.

So much detail, not enough plot advancement

I actually listened to the audiobook version, but I have the ebook as well. The reason I am giving this book four stars instead of five is that I don't feel like the plot really moved forward much in this book. We knew that Max and Dree were headed to Monaco because he was next in line for the throne and there was going to have to be a Crown Prince named after the death of his uncle and brother. Dree was coming to be Max's assistant and to hide out from the drug dealers her ex-boyfriend sent after her. That is more or less where we are at the end of this book. There is a lot of talk of the machinations for naming the next Crown Prince. There is a lot of talk about their relationship. There is a lot of talk about what they want for the future. And then there is a cliffhanger for the next book.

Loved it!

This is a great continuation to Max and Dree's story! I love seeing more of Max's story and seeing Dree stronger now. She doesn't seem to be as naive as in the previous books. With this ending it had I can't wait to see what happens next.

The Prince who doesn't want to a prince

After the cliffhanger in Order (Maxence Book 4), Maxence and Dree head to Monaco so Maxence can be the acting Crown Prince. He tells everyone that Dree is his admin so she can stay with him in the palace. They spend the next several months trying to find someone to take the throne that will do so with intentions of bettering Monaco, not to be the most powerful. Max continues to insist that he will be taking Holy Orders as soon as he finds someone to take the throne. However, his actions contradict his words constantly. With Dree, he has no intention of becoming a priest! We learn much more about Maxence and his dark and mysterious desires. And Dree's troubles from the US start to catch up with her in Monaco.

As always, Blair's writing is on point and is extremely well done. Shane East's narration of Maxence makes you want to listen to him forever. His deep and sexy voice really brings out the character. Lucy Rivers does an amazing job with Dree's voice as well, including all the accents of those people around her. I highly recommend this book and this series. However, be warned this book ends in a cliffhanger and it is not the last book in the series. I am eagerly anticipating the next book, Royal, which will bring Max and Dree's stories to a conclusion.

Deep in Max and Dree's story

This is the third book in the Max series (Read Rogue and Order first!) and it's another great performance by Shane East and Lucy Rivers. We get a closer look at Max's life and the future he thinks is possible. Max is faced with questions about what he REALLY wants when the barriers that used to be in his way don't exist anymore, and what he believes he deserves. Dree is confronted with the possibility of receiving her deepest, darkest desires and what those desires say about her. Our two main characters are both on a path of self-discovery, if they can only be honest with themselves.

Blair Babylon tortures her characters and her readers in the most delicious ways in this book. Lots of palace intrigue, stolen moments between Max and Dree, and a few dark and decadent nights that Blair does so well! I couldn't listen fast enough. Can't wait for the next book!

Melt Your Heart Enthralling

If I thought the story itself is a masterpiece then this audio book sets it aflame! It is something about voices that reach even further then the words on a page. Also, when those voices are soothing and sexy and sassy that they embolden and emblazon the story to a whole new level of experience to savor and enjoy. This is where I found myself while listening to this audio book. I was on cloud 9 and never wanted to come back down.

Shane East and Lucy Rivers truly brought undeniable justice to this fabulous story with its complex yet breathtaking characters. They lulled me back into Maxence's world and allowed me to experience it in a hyper state of awareness and gut-wrenching feeling. I hated to leave, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself while I was completely and totally immersed.

With a twist around every corner and an attraction that only grows stronger, Maxence and Dree are in over their heads. Will love be their saving grace or eternal downfall?
