Their plans to survive the end of humanity were meticulous. Thorough. Flawed.

They landed back on Earth hundreds of years past their expected return, and now the planet they once called home is unrecognisable. Warring tribes threaten their very survival, and members of Sierra team and Dr David Anderson must work with their now sentient AI to find a way to live peacefully with the survivors of the African facility.

But a greater threat than the power struggle between humans presses in on them, and they must choose sides to protect themselves from the terrifying plague sweeping over the continent during darkness.

They must find a way. They must survive the Swarm.

This is a solid follow-on to the first book in the series. Plot becomes very straight forward as leader of one group reveals himself to be the enemy of all who would oppose him. Nonetheless the protagonists (Sierra team) still have multiple mysteries to investigate while fighting for their foothold on the planet. Marc Vietor does an excellent job narrating.

Love the story wish there was another book. Author released 2 books when it could have easily been just one. Just to get the money he broke it down into 2 books 6 hours a piece RIDICULOUS

Cheapskate

Im really glad i found this series. I ended up enjoying it so much more than i expected to. The authors obviously vibe really well together because the book is seemless and flows really well. The characters are great and in this book we get up close and personal with several of them as the plot progresses. I will say that some of the "Tanaka" scenes got kina brutal and rapey which i really didnt enjoy. Kina brought me down and gave me some hella bad vibes. I dont think it was necessary to be that detailed about the mans depravity. We already hated him and wanted him to die you dont have to go into all the sick details of what this punk does to the women in his camp. In the end i guess there was some poetic justice but id have preferred it not be included at all. Im kina sensitive about that kina stuff so maybe it wont bother everyone like it did me but besides that i really loved the plot and characters. Really cool idea with the swarm and the AI is awesome. Worth a listen✊️

Great continuation!

I want stories that entertain me and keep my interest, and this story did that! Lots of action, great narration!

Lots of promise in the premise. Unfortunately the characters are all caricatures. The bad guys are evil and the good guys are paragons. The leader knows everything. The boardroom wizard is a coward and the geek saves the day. The author really needs to get out into the world and meet more people and experience the nuance in everyone. If you like Jay Allan or Joshua Dalzell’s then this is right up your alley. If you’re looking for more thought provoking and well developed characters in your sci-fi then steer clear.

Good concept but poor execution
