Kenlay & Mike
Makenna Jameison can write an alpha hero and I am there, ready to listen! This one has Mike, famous for one night stands, ready to settle down. He has been watching his friends, and knows he is missing out on something. He is attracted to Kenlay, and does his best to get her attention. Kenlay sees Mike, but she isn't interested in a Marine. She wants a quiet, easy life, with her husband always around. Will Mike win her over? I enjoyed this one a lot, but found Kenlay at times to be a little over the top. Of course, since I like Mike, I can see why I just can't understand her thinking! I do get her feelings though, and she is protecting her heart. Mike is so sweet, I don't know how she can resist. It's a fun, quick and steamy listen with our friend from the first three books popping in as well, giving us that community feel with all the heroes we have already fallen for! Total enjoyment.
Sophie James is amazing, and she falls right into character with her voices. I enjoy her narrations, as she finds a fit for the personality of the person and makes the characters her own. Then she remains consistent with the voices of previous characters which is a bonus! I loved her performance and will continue to watch for her releases.

bad start ends up good
Plans are made to be broken! Both main characters have plans in their minds, but reality has other plans for them. I was rooting for Mike all the way. Good story. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.
