Lots of "Edge of Your Seat" Action & Romance

This is another great addition to the Billionaires and Bodyguards series. Laura has the ruby and is wearing it around her neck. She knows nothing about a Fire Maiden. Marco lived between his two homes – one in Lisbon and the other in Madiera. Marco was in Lisbon when he sensed Laura’s fear and went out to investigate. He rescued her while she is being chased by baddies. She is not used to shifting into her dragon form so she is very clumsy. It is so funny when they arrive at Marco’s home in their escape from the baddies and she has a hard time landing. I could just picture the landing. LOL.

Olivia, a biotch, broke Marco’s heart about 10 years ago when she left him. He doesn’t want to open his heart again even though he feels something for Laura. She stays at Marco’s house. When he had to go out, Laura stupidly left Marco’s house to meet with Tito, who turns out to be a real bad @ss. Laura calls for help and Fin arrives before she meets with him to distracts him and his goons so Laura can hide until Marco arrives. There was a lot of “edge of your seat” action when Marco and Laura tried to escape them. Shortly after they arrive at Marco’s house, the baddies are there wanting Laura. Laura and Marco shift and take a marathon flight hundreds of miles away to the island of Madeira where Marco has another home and staff. A lot happens when they are on Madeira and a lot of action takes place.

This book was thoroughly enjoyable. I love the fact that during all of the action scenes, Marco, is slowly falling in love with Laura. Marco was hurt by Olivia, who was his fiancée, when she left him and she turns out to be a real bad@ss too. I love how Laura gained confidence and took care of Olivia.

I love Fin’s role in this book. He is awesome and I am rooting for him to find his mate.

kelsey has to be one of my favorite female narrators... she does such an amazing job with both the boy and girl characters.. hits who they are on the head.. their emotions.. their love.. their personalities.. all of it is so well done and of course anna is an amazing author and i love this series so much

Shifter fun! Sweet romance! Awesome!

This series is so fun! Love that each book takes place in a different European country! There was mention in this book that there’s unicorn shifters in Scotland, so here’s hoping there will be a book in Scotland! This one takes place in Portugal; which is somewhere I don’t know much about, so it was great to read about it. We get dragon shifters in this one! Laura very recently found out she can shift into a dragon; she knows that there are shifters out there, but she knows very little about shifter society and how to control her dragon. It’s very rare that she ends up being a shifter, but there’s something magical going with her. Since Laura is pretty clueless about all things shifter, she sets out to find someone to help her; which leads her to Portugal and Marco. This book gets right into the action with Laura finding herself in a dangerous situation, but luckily, dragon shifter, Marco, comes to her rescue. He doesn’t want to get roped into helping Laura; he had some issues in the past with deception, but he can’t really help himself. There’s a pull between them. Sweet and hot romance going on! I like that trying to resist scenario. Good connection and passion between Laura and Marco. Love the whole adventure they find themselves on; exciting action! Totally entertaining and fun story with a heartfelt romance! Excited for the next book!

Once again this narrator did a great job

Once again this narrator did a great job and took me into the book. I was kindly gifted this audible book for an honest review. BOOK REVIEW I really enjoyed this fourth book. No need to read in order as there is only a little overlap, usually of the next character who will be based in the next city that will be getting their story told. Great story with an entertaining plot that took me along for an enjoyable ride. I loved the slow fall into the realisation of being mates, even though Marco was a bit stubborn due to being burned in the past. His dragon was more astute than him. Pushing the truth at him. The sex scenes were soft, comfortable and very enjoyable. Great chemistry between Laura and Marco and though I have never been to Portugal or Madeira, they both came alive for me with the great descriptive scenes. The Guardians of these two places are even more ponderous and slow than any of the previous cities and it seemed fitting that they were well shaken up. The fact Laura has only just learned she is a dragon shifter and needs to learn everything from scratch added to my enjoyment. Really glad Olivia is out of the picture. Cannot wait to read Finn’s story. This is my honest review of this book.

Great 4th Book in Series

I was not disappointed. Marcus and Laura are wonderful together. When Marcus realizes that his behavior is causing more harm than good, he actually begins to think like the soldier he truly is. Even with his brusque behavior in the beginning, it is understandable as we go through Marcus's thinking process. I liked that this story focused more on Marcus than the other stories focused more on the females. This one was more equally based, and helped to make the story more relatable and enjoyable. Once Marcus accepts that Laura is his mate, his personality suddenly takes a major shift. It's like the wary soldier turns a switch off and becomes someone else or maybe the man he was meant to be.
