First off I want to say that Taveyah LaShay you wrote yo butt off on this on. Can’t wait to read the next one indeed there should be a movie with this book here. I rate this book a 5 star from the beginning to the end this book was GREAT!!!!

Great Read!

It's one of the best books I've read. Now that it's on Audio, I love how the narrator brings the characters to life. It felt like I was there in the story. I can't wait to see it on the big screen, a box office hit!

Where is Tyler Perry?

This needs to be a movie as soon as possible or at least a series. When on book 2 coming out?

A Must Read

The storyline moved fast and kept me interested. Having the different voices of the characters made the story come alive. I was left with so many questions. Iwant more of the story.

Exciting and Entertaining

This book is the first in a trilogy and it definitely ends with multiple cliffhangers that make me hope the second part is released soon. The characters are well developed and have very interesting backstories. The narrator did a great job with providing a multitude of distinct voices for the many characters in the book.

EXCELLENT READ!

I absolutely loved it! This book was full of drama, suspense and very emotional! The narration was outstanding and gave the story that extra flair! It will keep you entertained! The author did an amazing job with the character builds and plot! This was my first book by this author but definitely not my last! I look forward to reading more books by this author! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Dark and depressing

"Requiem: Origins, Book 1" (2019, 2020) by Taveyah LaShay is a dark novel about several Black characters, all unlikeable—a pair of male fraternal twins reared in separate households as cousins; a philandering, amoral attorney with a secret; a secretary who’s been having an affair with the married attorney for years; and her daughter from the relationship, a twelve-year-old who sounds like she’s six. Their stories are intertwined in deception and murder but I found the story depressing. Paul Burt’s gritty narration is fine. Not recommended. At my request, I was given this free audiobook and have voluntarily left this review.
