Not bad

The story was pretty good. It was kind of hard to follow though. Definitely not something to listen to unless you can focus in it.

The presentation was fine the delivery was OK but I just really did not like the story

I did see it coming. Stupid ending, I would have liked it better if it had a different ending. Forgettable

Totally unexpected. Omg I didn’t want to stop listening. I was listening at work and actually said are you kidding me out loud.

Couldn’t Finish

The story just didn’t keep my attention.
Mostly it just isn’t the kind of story that I enjoy. I like stories that if my children walk in the room I don’t need to turn it off. I wish books had ratings like movies.

Too hard to follow

Too much jumping from character to character and past and present. Most of the time you’re just confused

Great listen!

Really enjoyed this one! Lots of layers to the main character. I especially loved that questions were addressed- if a character thought of a question- it went to the source and asked. I’ve pulled my hair out in previous listens and reads wondering why the character didn’t have any backbone or was happy just “wondering”. Appreciated the directness of all the characters!

What a twist

I had some questions throughout this book yet it all came together in the end. What a twist.

Depressing

This book was too dark and depressing for me. There was literally not one good thing that happened in the entire book. The storyline was interesting and decently written, but there was an undercurrent of abuse, neglect, and mental illness throughout the whole thing.

Not a feel good read

This book does not give you the warm and fuzzies. It is hard to listen to at times due to the abuse and the constant reminder at the tragic loss of life. At the end I was relieved that it was over because I just couldn’t take it anymore. BUT that all likely means it did exactly what the author intended which is to keep us engaged and invested. The narrator was great and the story was also good. My heart just couldn’t take anymore!
