Captivating

This is my first book in the Singular Obsession series. It was captivating and seductive. Calen was a bit creepy with his obsession and with his pet names for Maia but overall I loved both characters. I really enjoyed this dark romance and will be continuing on with this series. Avie Paige did a great job bringing this story to life. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Captivating

My attention was held captive by Calen and Maia. It is an excellent story and audio book. Not only did I enjoyed the storyline but also the narration. At first I wasn't a big fan of Maia's "voice" but in the end it did even notice what was bothering me at first. I loved the progression of the story and relationship. It kept me on the edge of my seat and engaged. I highly recommend this second standalone book in the Singular Obsession series.

Great story

Great addition to this standalone series. I love this authors writing style and the narrator for this one was so much better than the one from the first book.

Calen and his Nymph

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Calen is a doll and Mia is an inexperienced little scientist. Together they make a great pair. Calen rescued her when doing a mafia deal for his father with the Russian mafia and insisted they include her as part of the settlement (she witnessed the Russian mafia guys disposing of a body while she was chasing butterflies for her work in the lab). Calen took her to his penthouse to have his doctor tend to her injuries. He decided she would be safer if they were married. The story continues with them getting married and how one member from the Russian mob still wants her back.

Ave Paige did a great job with the narration. I was given this free copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Engrossing

I really liked this story. I didn’t want to put it down. It’s fun and well written. The narration was great as well. I will be looking for more from this author and narrator.

Well done!

I was super surprised at how much I enjoyed this story! Don’t let the cover fool you. I thought this was going to be a dark mafia type romance but it wasn’t. I like dark mafia romances but this book was a sweet and steamy love story. I thought both characters were really great and the narration well done.

OK, can I be Calen's Captive? If I could jump into the pages of this story, I would gladly take Maia's place. Lucy Leroux's Alpha's are delicious! She writes the perfect balance of dominant, possessive, charming men who know how to take care of their woman.

Calen, being the son of an Irish mob boss is just bad enough, but keeps himself out of the family business to stay legal. The one time he has to step in and help his father, he is in time to rescue Maia from the Russian mob. It just so happens that he was already looking for his woodland fairy after briefly seeing her in his night club and lost her before he could approach. The only way to protect Maia is to marry her and fill her up with babies as soon as possible.

I loved it and let me tell you, there were a few role playing scenes that were smokin hot!!! I'm very curious about Maia's friend Thalia since there were hints in the story that makes me think she will get her own story and hints of another couple as well.

Mafia + Fairy

Calen's Captive (a singular obsession, book 2) is my favourite book in this series. I absolutely love Calen and Maia is so adorable. Listening to this audio on repeat as I could listen to Calen's character all day long. Mafia romance with suspense seeping through the pages. Calen & Maia were perfect together and my favourite couple in this series. The writing style is captivating & the narrative is intoxicating.

Narator Avie Page's performance was smooth. Her inflection had sensual elements in the right places.

Overall, a beautiful mafia romance that is addictive to listen to.

Fairy Fetish

Calen has found his perfect fairy princess in Maia, albeit under dire circumstances. He must first save her then protect from a very nasty Russian mobster. All this while trying to convince her he loves her and wants to marry her. An unbelieving Maia must come to terms with her new savior and that only he can protect her from death itself. Well written and narrated, definitely worth a listen. I got my copy from Audiobooks Unleashed.
