Publisher's summary

A man is only as good as his word....

Celestine is a vast world, filled with mysteries and peopled by creatures most men consider nothing but flights of fancy.

Terrence Mack knows better.

Free of Florence at last, he wants nothing more than to make good on a promise. Yuri Kolenko journeyed across the world on a quest to be made chieftain and end the abuses of an evil shaman. Terry has sworn to see it done.

Yet pursued by furies, a dragon, even the Dust Lord himself, the template and his companions are compelled to challenge the Sphinx and enter the Labyrinth. There they must make their way to the center, challenge an ancient, fallen hero, and bargain with a woman twice-scorned, called with good reason the Power of the Lost....

cebelius definitely scored another home run

no part of this book was ever boring. The characters are ALL dynamic, rather than only the main character (which is what gives u EXCEPTIONAL writing rather than merely good writing). There is definitely healthy amounts of adult situations, but it never feels forced. I hope this author continues his now well established pattern of quality storytelling for many years to come. I will certainly continue buying his work so long as this is the sort of quality I can expect.

Pleasantly surprised

Wasn’t sure what to expect from this installment but was not disappointed. One of the few monster harem series that actually has content. Looking forward to the next one.

Better than books 1 & 2

Been following since the 1st book. I feel like this one is definitely better than 1 and 2 b/c Terry is finally starting to develop into his own. admittedly it was very annoying when he had crisis of conscious episodes and pity parties but if you can get through that, then this book is for you.

Excitedly waiting to hear book 4

Another fantastic addition

this series has enchanted me from start to finiah in every book. the eagerness with which i wait for the next book is palpable. this book does a good job of showing flaws in a suposedly flawless main character. and yea its totally like "i hate this guy for being as cool as he is" but the storily seems to be solid. as is the character developement. buy this if your into adult nerdy things.

frigging sweet

As with the other two, I find it hard to believe that I actually enjoy anything like this. I try hard not to wonder what that says about me as a person... dont answer that.
Anywho, incredibly well written, fantastically developed characters, and all around a joy to listen to. When combined with Tess Irondale's narrative prowess, it simply follows that there isnt anything I could ask for the author to do better.
Except length. Goddamn it Cebelius, twelve hours isnt enough! Hurry up with the next one!
Oh, and one other thing. I swear if the next book skimps on Euryale I will hunt you down. She's basically the greatest ever, and so hilariously bubbly. Probably loves pink everything. I NEED MORE OF HER.
That is all.

Nothing but praise to give

Yet another great book and narration. I look forward to learning more about Marcus and seeing how Terri continues to change over the course of the adventure.

Surprising

I picked up this series as a whole after finding the first book randomly in my recommended list. Not knowing what I wanted with the token I had so I spent it.
I find it very well spent too.

Generally speaking I like High Fantasy/ Dark Fantasy Epics and Post Apocalyptic stories.

The aesthetic obviously meets the fantasy prerequisite.
I tend to like deep characters and grounded story and in most of the ones I like a good helping of violence. I felt this series had those things.

The thing I wasn't expecting however was that I enjoyed the sex scenes as much as I enjoyed the rest of it.
All in all I think anyone who is looking for a good story as well as gretiouitous sex and violence will be well placed here with this series. It was purely entertaining if nothing else.

I purchased the 2nd and 3rd books before finishing the first and basically binged all of them.
I am awaiting on tenterhooks for the 4th installment.
