Easytown is the city of a thousand stories; tales of betrayed trusts, tarnished virtues, easily obtained vices, and street justice are common.

Treat yourself to a glimpse into the dark future world of New Orleans, where humanity's base desires have overshadowed common decency, and very few are willing to stand in the way. With 10 stories by seven well-known independent authors, High Tech/Low Life is guaranteed to please.

It's a gritty world, full of murky choices where the line between good and evil is smeared with blood. Welcome to Easytown.

Each story was awesome! I love the entire feel of the universe they exist in. I totally dig the idea of multiple authors penning stories based in the same setting. Would def pick up any further anthologies.

Awesome cyber noir anthology!

Solid collection of cyberpunk short stories.

Set in the world of Easytown, it was interesting to see just how people coped in the futuristic society. Though I haven’t read the original Easytown novels, I am tempted to after seeing what this collection had to offer.

Narration was well done by the male narrator, but the female narrator had points where it was difficult to understand/hear her.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

4/5

I loved the stories, as they rounded out the characters and interactions in the main series. There was a particular story I did not like in the series, which is why I took off a star. It's otherwise a masterpiece of a collection of Easytown stories!

Awesome Collection That Rounds Out Easytown Story

After tearing through the Easytown trilogy, I wanted more... I Needed More! As a result, I was more than happy to find this book, and snatch it up, even though it's written by several writers that I don't know. I figured it would be Okay (like minded people, and all that), but wait a moment, at least two of the stories in this collection were written by Brian Parker, the original author of the Easytown trilogy! Score!!!
The stories were pretty good, but they didn't bring the magic as much as I'd hoped, just more Droids, Gangsters, Hookers, and how bad it was to live in Easytown, once known as the French Quarter in this futuristic New Orleans...
The real problem for me, though, was the narration, while Michael Soma was ok, he simply wasn't Daniel Penz ( who'd narrated the original trilogy), and then there was Santha Vega! The production value of her work was flat-out lousy! I found it very hard to hear her, almost as if her microphone had been wrapped in a dense, fuzzy blanket... really badly muffled. I believe that I may have even liked her voice acting and accent, if only I'd been able to hear her. So, yeah, I was a bit disappointed with this collection, when I'd wanted to Love it so.

I was a bit disappointed...
