The Organ Growers

The McBride Trilogy Series, Book 2

By: Richard Van Anderson

Narrated by: Joel Richards

In the second audiobook of the McBride trilogy, Dr. David McBride enters the story having committed an egregious act that transgresses both moral and civil law.

Left with no semblance of a normal life - his family, freedom, and humanity stripped away - he resigns to accept his fate and face whatever punishment is forthcoming. But David McBride is too valuable a commodity to languish in prison, and he soon finds himself caught between opposing forces - a corporate spy representing a Russian biotech firm and a man trying to save his daughter's life - who are battling for control of the tissue engineering and organ fabrication technologies that are vital to the growth of human organs in the laboratory.

Exciting Book 2. Great Narration

Just completed book 2 The Organ Growers. Fantastic narration engaging characters and a truly beautifully written collection of possibilities for medical change.
Totally believable characters, twisted fates and genuine moments of heartfelt sadness and triumph. A great listen cannot wait to listen to the next installment.

it's just a great storyline.

it's hard to find a follow up book just as good as the first but this one is.

Awesome story

This book really held my attention! It opens the mind to possibilities in Healthcare.

Very Intense medical thriller!

Heart surgeon and author Richard Van Anderson has written a wonderful medical thriller titled THE ORGAN GROWERS which is Book 2 in his Dr. David McBride Trilogy. The topic of the series is growing human organs in the lab for transplant and who will own the intellectual property the could be worth billions of dollars. The suspense level is extreme and constant as David McBride seeks to avoid both the Russians and the police. THE ORGAN GROWERS is standalone, but listen to THE ORGAN TAKERS first. The third book in the series is a short story titled THE FINAL. It is available now in Kindle format, but has not been released in audio format yet. Narration by Joel Richards is excellent.

Way too technical!

Terrible book. Very short. The theme could have worked well if written better. Way too technical. Good narration, but he could not save the poor writing.
