Honest, good story

the story seemed honest and well written. it included day to day events and also action. I enjoyed the fact that the auther talked about who the other men in the platoon were.
I thought the performance was good.
also enjoyed the afterword. having read quite a few Vietnam war stories I found this particular one to be entertaining and worth listening to. overall a good book.

Yet another excellent Vietnam Memoir.

Narration: Clear and rhythmic.

Story: Another excellent recounting of bravery and detailed descriptions of battles.

Recommendation. Must reading for Vietnam war buffs.

So much respect and admiration

As an Army veteran (1990-1998), I have always wanted to know what it was like in Vietnam from the ones who actually served there. I have so much respect for everyone who served in Vietnam and Thank you ALL. I am very thankful (selfishly) that some are able and willing to share their experiences. I experienced a VERY SMALL part of how they were treated back home when I went to Washington D.C. during the Gulf War. Nothing even close to what these guys went through. If you really want to know what it was like for these guys and ladies, then you need to read this book. Thank you Mr. Downs!

Amazing true story everyone should hear and needs to be told. I’m going to check out his other works soon.
