Valerie Gilbert
An unusual friendship forms between a young history professor and the grandmother of one of his loveliest students. When master's student, Katherine King, receives an unsatisfactory grade on an exam, she learns two valuable lessons: Don't lose your cool with a young, handsome professor. And, two, don't tell your grandmother about it. This sweet, clean Christian romance is set in the rolling hills of the Palouse, in the university town of Moscow, Idaho.

Compelling characters, strong Christian theme, situational and verbal humor, and a really nice read. It is fun and interesting, a nice break from some of my other recent reads.
To be perfectly honest, I picked it up because it was narrated by Valerie Gilbert who can do perky like few others, and that's just what I wanted that day!
A good, clean read!

If you could sum up Sticky Notes in three words, what would they be?
Funny and a little judgmental??Which scene was your favorite?
I enjoyed the scenes with Grand Ma. She was just so sweet and innocent with a little spunk.Any additional comments?
Overall I give this story 3.5 to 4 stars. Narrator, Valerie Gilbert seemed to have fun with this narration. I did not like how she said Grand Ma vs granma or gram-ma. The articulation of the 'd' sound made the term of endearment cold.I have mixed feelings about the story content. Why would a professor invite a graduate student to a social event where her professor would be present? Why would a relationship between them be encouraged? Quinn, Carl, Joe, Katherine all seem to judge others by "their covers". It's odd when Katherine is forced to issue her various apologies in the story. In general, Katherine seems to run hot/cold...so does Quinn. The narrator, kept me listening. I thought Grandma Ethel stole the show and made this story enjoyable.
I received a copy via audiobook boom in exchange for an unbiased review.
