Samantha Martin may be the leader of Hel, but she is also an imp in debt to a sorcerer. Luckily, he's vowed to wipe away all the favors she owes for one job - retrieve a stolen gem.

But Gregory also needs her help. Interdimensional rifts are opening, spilling supernatural creatures into the world of the humans. Locating and closing the gateways takes a team of two - an angel and a demon.

It's the opportunity Sam has been waiting for, the very thing that might allow demons and angels to put aside nearly three million years of hate. But the gem has a dark power - one that could shatter any hope of peace between heaven and hell. Which task takes priority? Sam is at a crossroads, where either choice leads to a dark future.

Would you listen to Kingdom of Lies again? Why?

I already Have

Who was your favorite character and why?

I have to go with Sam. She's the typical Demon and she really doesn't want the extra responsibility that comes with the Iblis. Of Course she needs the title because of the love she has for the Angel. so, she tied in.

What about Angela Rysk’s performance did you like?

Angela makes this series coms true. Her character voices and acting isn't too dramatic but it makes for good narration at its simplicity.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

One's version of Heaven and Hell as an imp.

Any additional comments?

the books are coming faster but I still can't wait for the next installment.

Kingdom of lies was not as good as the rest. Don't get me wrong MS Dunbar wrote a ok book but I felt it was lacing a bit the suspense and laugh out moments were lacking. But I do love the growth she has given Sam and Gregory threw out the other books to date and yet let them still be an imp and Angel. Audio is the best way to enjoy this series. MS Rysk dose such a fantastic job at narration, giving each character there own voice and portraying excitement, sadness etc. Highly recommend both Rysk and Dunbar are so good together.

Love this series

greatness

Another great addition to the series. I love how out main character develops throughout the series and you see her grow and yet still keep the best parts of her. One thing I dislike is I felt like the series is starting to be "dragged on". I find myself hoping for an ending but instead find more mayhem to keep more books going.

Still Enjoying

I was excited to find this book. I didn't realize it had been released or that it was even coming and to my surprise it was a Whispersync book so I was able to get it cheaper. I love Sam, she is such a troublemaker and as usual she gets herself into trouble in this book. I laughed at the Supernatural reference and the Nirvana reference. My only problem is I have forgotten some of the details from the other books and now want to reread them all over again. I listen to too many audiobooks to keep them all straight. The narrator is not my favorite, but the more I listen to her the better I like her.

That’s what she said.
