Quick but Good!

Downloaded this book last night and could not stop listening until done. Loved it! When is the next one? Good horror but much too short wanted it to continue. Sarah is a heroic female and thumbs up to Meredith. This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast. Short Prologue

A short prologue to what could be a full book of Zombie Apocalypse action. A Twin saves her sister from bad guys, then helps others escape zombies. They end up with work friends and are ready for whatever the future brings...

Zombies In Ft. Worth!

If you could sum up Survival in three words, what would they be?

Way to short. That's probably not what Audible had in mind when they came up with the question, but they sum it up for me. The story was just starting to get really good and engrossing and BAM, I'm hearing "we hope you've enjoyed...." signaling the end of the book. There are many topics that, of course, have been left hanging and I'm sure that was the authors plan all along. I hope the next book in the series is an actual book and not another novella. Since this first one is so short, I'd also like to see the next book start with the novella and then just keep going. Although it was really good, there wasn't enough to it to really imprint on my brain.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Survival?

Probably when Sarah returns to the warehouse and rescues her sister

No, but like I said to was really short, I did like the part where they rescued the kids

A great story about a sick-ass woman

When a zombie apocalypse hits Fort Worth, Sarah and her twin are kidnapped by three men who threaten to feed them to zombies. Sarah escapes and desperately seeks a way to save her sister. A quick story about rivals coming together to save loved ones. Great performance. Recommend.

Great zombie short with female lead

Would you consider the audio edition of Survival to be better than the print version?

I only experienced the audible version, but I know I wouldn't have enjoyed a print version as much.

Which character – as performed by Lisa L. Wiley – was your favorite?

Sarah, the main character. She was a normal, relatable woman that really worked well in her role.

Fast paced right away!!

I really like this book ! Can't wait for the next part, I'm a little sad that it was only 8 chapters I could have read 50! I was slow to get into the Rhythm of the narrator as she but overall good voice for the character

More to fear than zombies

Hopkins does a great job of giving the reader enough detail and background to make sure we empathize and care for the characters. How will a set of twins, a cancer patient, 2 kids, and a couple of deputies survive as well as find loved ones in a sudden zombie filled world? I am interested to see how Dana and Sarah and the others survive. How long can they keep their new home safe?

Good read.

Twins Dana and Sarah were kidnapped, but Sarah manages to escape. Desperate to get help and go back to rescue Dana, she goes to the nearest person she knows, Meredith, a work college whom she doesn't particularly like. She soon realises that something weird is happening.... the dead are walking. She also realises that Meredith was dealing with something herself, she had cancer and had just finished her last treatment. Meredith also didn't know the dead are walking! It's up to both of them to get back to Dana and rescue her before it's too late.

This was a really good short story. It's only about and hour and a quarter long, but it packs a lot into it. This focuses on the girl and their desperation to save Dana, rather than the zombies. I'm looking forward to seeing where thee author takes this and whether we see a lot of zombie action or if it will be solely focused on the survivours. This is well written and developed, the characters are likable and interesting and it made me eager to see what happens next, so all in all a great read.

Lisa L. Wiley was ok. She was easy to listen to and was able to keep my attention, but she read this a little flatly. Her tones were too similar for the female characters and she didn't bring the atmosphere to life. I wanted her to capture Sarahs desperation more!!
