Like 2 John, 3 John emphasizes that love must be rooted in truth. This epistle is addressed to John’s friend, Gaius, whom John thanks for all the help he has given believers in need. He also warns Gaius to watch out for Diotrephes: the man is a snake and can’t be trusted! Like 2 John, this short 13-verse letter ends abruptly, with John saying that he’ll stop by for a visit to continue his discussion.

Editorial reviews

Few people can boast more knowledge of the Bible than Dr. Bill Creasey, who has been teaching the Old and New Testaments, verse by verse, for decades, both as an English professor at UCLA and as an acclaimed educator with Logos Ministries. When Creasey's lecture is introduced with the words "Our lesson is about to begin, so get comfortable and open your Bibles", a listener knows that he or she is about to hear an accessible and illuminating discussion of Scripture. Creasey often uses personal anecdotes and translates Biblical language into the vernacular in order to relate Biblical themes to modern life. In this brief, live lecture on 3 John, Creasey colorfully renders each line of the third epistle to Gaius.

This was a very quick lesson regarding watching out for dictatorial church leaders who keep out true teachers to satisfy their on ego. This message is just as important today as it was 2000 years ago. P.S. Creasy is a great speaker!

Very quick lesson

This is another great lecture from Dr. Bill Creasy. He is always incredibly insightful and engaging. He often supplements the material with personal stories which are relevant and interesting. He has taken several trips to Israel and the Middle East where he visits the locations depicted in the Bible and he shares those first hand accounts which enables him to take you back to that point in time that the scripture is talking about.

Awesome lecture from Dr. Bill Creasy

The recording is poor and the 3 Johns should have been combined in a single purchase. I've purchase all of the Logos series and these are the only there books that I wouldn't recommend buying.

It sounds like he is in a well right up to last sentence when it was corrected suddenly. This audio book should have been free.
