Great Book

This is a great series so far the characters are funny and interesting, it ranks up there with the Immortal after Dark series. I really liked Sophie Eastlake as a narrator, she does a wonderful job. There are some cases in which the narrator can ruin a book but not this one. I love paranormal romance books and its worth a credit. It started out a little slow, but I am glad I got it. Just downloaded the 3rd book hope its as good as the first 2.

I loved the humor sprinkled in. It was modern and fun. GREAT ride!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved Dragos and how he evolved throughout the book. Pia was great too and her evolotion was expected. But the author did a great job of showing how Dragos had never loved and why that would feel so forgein to him. His changes throughout the book were inspiring to me as an author.

Any additional comments?

This was an easy listen. Great narrator. Fun story. Some Erotica and lots of humor from the distinctly different characters. I got it on sale and would recommend waiting for it to cost less than one credit but overall a really fun romp for a weekend of listening!

Great for dragon lovers

I'm a dragon fan and am always looking for books where the dragons are the good guys, and if they operate autonomously instead of acting as a steed for some human hero, that's even better. I was surprised to find there are 4 or 5 series available on Audible where shape-shifting dragons in human form have relationships with human or at least non-dragon women. I'm not usually into the "romance novel" genre, but I couldn't resist the autonomous dragons (even though it sucks they mostly stay human).

The first series I tried was by Katie MacAlister. I like it for the humor, but the "dragons" just feel like humans with a high libido, dominance issues, and a lot of "power". The relationships feel forced and unnatural and the sex scenes feel gratuitous. I've only read two books but the "dragons" never even bother to shift into dragon form.

This is all different with Thea's first book. You get to "see" the handsome bronze and black dragon outside the human shell a few times, and the relationship he has with Pia actually makes sense and progresses in a believable fashion. Her instant attraction to him still seems odd and reminiscent of Katie's books, but she doesn't just jump on him the first time he shows interest. When they do mate, it's actually quite erotic, and the sex scenes happen at logical times instead of feeling thrown in (mostly). Further, this dragon is a surprisingly good lover, unlike Katie's dragons who are simply dominant and selfish in bed with the women still loving it for no logical reason.

So, if you like dragons or romance novels, this one's definitely worth your time.

I loved this story. I read many fantasy romances and this has been one of the hottest and most sensual but also a great story. I look forward to the rest of the series!

Excellent!!

I just finished this book and am dying to get the next one. I've never read/listened to any shape-shifter books, but I really enjoyed this. The narrator is phenomenal as well. I would definitely recommend this book as a great read/listen. I couldn't tear myself away from it.

My first paranormal romance novel and I loved it.

Dragon Bound was the first paranormal romance I ever read and then listened to. I must say it did not disappoint.

The story was very exciting full of action and romance. Lots of drama!! I like Pia and Drago was a handful. He was definitely Alpha and fierce.

I have fallen in love with the Elder Race Series. I probably will listen to everything book that comes out.

Loved it !!

Great narration. I really likes that the Pia and Dragos stayed in character. I agree with the reveiw of soooo glad Pia was a female with heart and bravery with a little spunk tossed in, and that Dragos was learning to be in love without automatically turning into a jellyfish just because a woman came into the picture. He never lost his high handed edge and "dragoness" and she didnt let him brow beat her. They stayed who they were and learned to give and take without losing who they were. Hope to see a lot more of this series and from this writer and narrator.

Love, love, love this series. I have both read and listened to it more than once, and with the plethora of choices out there, that’s saying something!
