Publisher's summary

Loose strings tied. New Empires established. A knock-down drag-out victory.

Artorian welcomes home old friends, glad for their company. Having finally returned Cal to the seat of his sanctuary, he must cast aside other whims and assume the mantle of Administrator, continuing the diplomacy that came with the creation of Accords. Regardless of agreements, some diplomacy must always be spoken with fists. To prepare for the second coming of Eternium, Cal’s space must stand firm, resolute, and without danger...even if Artorian must contend with a city of tears to attain that result.

Caltopia is blooming with new growth, possibilities, and fresh chances. Unfortunately, some old weeds have dug their roots deep and require plucking so the population might thrive. For many who discover the great trials to come, the new ways of standing on their own two feet are to their liking....

But there are some who will never willingly stop waving the flag of what once was.

I’m a huge fan of this series

It’s hard to rate these books individually because it is such a large series in a interconnected universe, that being said all these connections to so many other books really make it easy to love this series.

knocked out of the park!

Dennis has delivered an excellent installment of grandpa's adventures once again, and John Pirhalla has once more delivered an excellent narration thereof! Personally, I'm pretty satisfied with the narrator change and think the voices are now MORE better!

Yet Another Excellent Book In The Series

PUN-ishment is never too far in Caltopia, especially when Artorian is there to administer some tough love! well-written and narrated, this is another win for Mr. Vanderkerken

I'm invested in the series, but come on man!

I have enjoyed this series as well as the other spin offs of the Devine Dungeon books. However, I feel like the authors have lost track of the original feel. It's just not the same. It's still an okay listen but the wow factor is gone. I'll see the series through to the end but come on man!

The last book was so dry and hard to finish, with no action until a raging battle at the end. This book was all fight without a climax. Fighting friends instead of dungeon stuff? The authors need to go back and listen to the first four books or so to reconnect with the characters. Plus, everytime the narrator changes so do the characters persona's.

The ending of this book feels like it killed the series. CAL is nowhere, the original people not there or the same. Dale is not even a part of this. The guy that had so many political and warrior stones given to him just fell out? I'm disappointed.

Mandatory subject line

Second half of the book was better than the first half. Hang in there, it will be worth it.

Back into the swing of things

Overall I enjoyed this book in the series more than I would care to admit. This book brought back the essence of artorian which I felt was sorely missing and am glad it has finally come to this point. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

Just buy it already

Why are you reading reviews at the 12th book in? Just buy it already! You know that you want to know how the world inside Cal is doing and how Artorian is handling things. Well there is more diplomacy, Artorian style! Enjoy!

John did a good job but some of his characters sounded very similar. He needs to practice different accents a bit more but I think he will make a fine narrator for the coming books.

Much better

This was much better than the last book. I was able to listen. Without getting thrown out of the book by thinking of the pop culture references this time. they are still there just back to the normal amount. I am used to the new narrator now. All around a much better book. That last one almost made me quit reading/listening you could tell the author was bored and done with the arc as he just cobbled together words on the pages. this one goes back to him actually writing so there's actual story.

More Grandpa Shenanigans

I really don't know what to say. I am in awe by how good each and every one of these books are. I can't recommend them more, reading these books made me a better person. That is the power of a good story, to change the hearts of men.
