Atomic Power with God, Thru Fasting and Prayer is a short work by the spirited evangelist Franklin Hall. The book describes how prayer during extended fasts can heal the body and soul, and bring practitioners greater spiritual power to exalt and glorify Jesus Christ.

In the book, Hall described his own introduction to fasting and prayer through friendship with a Oklahoma family advocating the practice in 1932. He fasted and prayed with them in anticipation of a large revival-and at the ensuing event, "scores of people were healed of all types of afflictions."

He became convinced of the power of fasting and began to preach its efficacy as he traveled. In 1946, a group of "Holy Ghost people" began a long session of prayer and fasting, lasting between 10 and 40 days. According to Hall, they experienced a great spiritual awakening. Some even found healing of physical ailments during the fast. As word of the event spread, Hall found that there was heavy demand for more information about the power of fasting and prayer.

Later that same year, Hall wrote Atomic Power. The book explores how fasting intensifies prayer by "[bringing] unity and [filling] us with the glory of God." Through the combination of these two acts, he believed one could enhance their "spiritual appetites" and curtail their hunger, sex, and greed appetites-thereby uncovering their "spiritual atomic power with God that lies available to every Christian."

Hall's work has now been inspiring Christians to explore the benefits of fasting on their physical and spiritual health for over 70 years.

Amazing read and so helpful and informative

I was listening to this book while going through a 4 day fast. It helped me get through the fast while also giving me so much background information on why we should be fasting and how it cures so many disease within the body caused by the food we eat. I now will be staying away from sugar and processed food. I definitely want to do a longer fast 21 days or longer so hopefully this 4 day fast just paved the way. It wasn’t easy but through the power of prayer God helped me through it.

INSPIRATION TO JUST DO IT

I have had the knowing and instructions by Holy Spirit to fast for years now and I have always let the world and events like thanksgiving to cause me to put it off and now it’s time this book is giving me strength! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!!!! Amen praise Jesus! I thank God for this book!

Perfect guidline to spritual fasting

Listened in one day while at work. I am sure there are other books that discuss fasting guidlines, but I prefer the way this was written in a spiritual manor. Touched on many things I hadn't thought about or would have known. I do love that it talked about the healing benefits of fasting as well. Plenty of research out there to back up what is mentioned
