Publisher's Summary

Ruth Logan Herne, the bestselling author of Welcome to Wishing Bridge, invites listeners back to the small town where big dreams come true.

After surviving the streets of South Philly, Thea Anastas never thought she’d wind up working in rural New York. But a call from a friend in need convinced the nurse practitioner to make the trip. Now her temporary position is making a difference in Wishing Bridge - though Thea can’t afford to make a difference, to fill a gaping hole in the sweet, small town. After all, the current medical practice is being dissolved in three months, and bigger opportunities are luring her away....

Her partner, Dr. Ethan Brandenburg, has his own struggles: caring for his orphaned niece and nephew and holding firm to his decision to leave Wishing Bridge for a prestigious job in Chicago. Though Thea’s no-nonsense advice in the office has been good for business, her compassion in Ethan’s personal life has been good for his heart. But how can he offer a commitment to a woman when they’re both about to say goodbye?

Wishing Bridge may be surrounded by forests and farms, but Thea is starting to realize that friendships and family form its heart - and that what she wants in life and love may be right in front of her eyes.

Book 2...oh yes

Book 2 was just as intriguing and interesting as book 1.
All the characters are well developed. So well, I think they are my family and friends.
I would love to live in Wishing Bridge, only in the summer, spring and fall seasons. I am not a lover of extreme cold weather.
I can not wait until book 3 to be ready on audible.

Faith, Hope, and Love!

Faith, Hope, and Love are on full display in 'At Home in Wishing Bridge' beautifully written by Ruth Logan Herne.
The people of Wishing Bridge are real, struggling with family issues, grief, difficult choices, and things beyond their control. But most handle it with grace and a helpful attitude. Powerful prayer warrior Maggie is a great example of how to get through the tough times.
The bond of friendship between Thea, Kelsey, and Jazz is stronger than ever. The attraction between Thea and Dr. Ethan was surprising. I loved it!
I also loved the inclusion of children in this book.
Here portrays them with a full range of emotion and feeling.
I admit to a few tears and cheers as I listened to this story. I hope there will be another.

Good but slow start...

I found this book a little hard to follow at first. Maybe it was just getting reintroduced to the characters but the first half of the book was a little slow. I found it jumped around a little too much for me. Still good though.

Sweet, predictable, and very preachy.

Everyone was happy, happy in the end - if you want to read a book where you know all will end “happy” then this might be OK

good characters, but A LOT of Christian Mythology

Be warned, although the character development and story are interesting, the frequent references to Christianity is off-putting to other sects of the population
