Not cheerful or uplifting

Of the first three books in this series, this was by far the grimmest with repeated coitus interruptus. While it is thoughtfully written about difficult subjects, I found the wounded characters insistence upon pushing each other away and their extremely bad communication to be frustrating and depressing.

Cancer. really

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A romance story would have been nice.

Has At Any Moment turned you off from other books in this genre?

I do not want to read a romance book that is focus on living through cancer.

Which character – as performed by Jason Clarke and Kirsten Leigh – was your favorite?

Jason Clarke

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No love making in a romance novel. Unbelievable. Just pure sadness.

Any additional comments?

i do not trust this author and will not read anymore of their books.

Honestly I had begun to fear that these guys would never stop their drama, but it worked out in the end.

I must agree.

Having listened to the previous 2 books in the series, which I loved, I agree, too much angst. I don't mind the cancer as much as Mia's stupidity and insecurities, especially with all the support that surrounded her!
She's supposed to be an intelligent woman but her stupidity drove me nuts. I almost gave up on the story several times because it was repetitive, which in turn made it entirely too long. I do love all the characters but Mia...not so much.
Ms. Aubrey should find a better editor.
I will complete the series because I enjoyed book 1 and 2. This one could have been much better

OMG!!!!! atleast it ends the right way....

Would you consider the audio edition of At Any Moment to be better than the print version?

didn't read the print version

What other book might you compare At Any Moment to and why?

I have not read another series like this.... so heart breaking and yet so touching......

Have you listened to any of Jason Clarke and Kirsten Leigh ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

this series is the first......wont be the last.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Love is worth fighting for.....

Perfect Ending

If you could sum up At Any Moment in three words, what would they be?

I want more

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that this book is not like any other. Brenna wrote about something that you don't find a lot in romance books. This book is about Love and Loss, illness and health and the most important it is about healing.

What does Jason Clarke and Kirsten Leigh bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love the emotion, the happy the sad the tears you can hear it all from them.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

this book is like a rollercoaster, it will make you want to cry, laugh and even at times shake the H/H and tell them to wake up! But in the end it will make you swoon with happiness!

Any additional comments?

I just loved this series. This is a real, raw and not always happy series. But it is also amazing to watch two people find them self along with true happiness. I cant wait for more books by Brenna.

Absolutely fabulous!

This compelling series just gets better all the time. Mia and Adam have, without doubt, been through the wringer and, in At Any Moment, they still have a thorny path to follow. Again, the narration is outstanding, with both narrators bringing the characters to life with skill and confidence. I particularly love listening to Jason Clarke who captures both male and female voices and captures the essence of their hearts flawlessly. Kristen Leigh is wonderful as Amelia, bringing her heartbreak and hope to deep emotional life. An audio that I found impossible to stop listening to and which has been an absolute pleasure 💖💖💖💖💖

Be prepared for a very emotional ride

I love a good HEA, but this one was difficult to reach! Not that I didn’t like the book–quite the contrary–but it was problem after problem after bad decision, so even the characters weren’t sure about a HEA. The conflict here that keeps Mia and Adam separated comes from within–and from the couple’s history. So much has happened to them in the previous books that they come back together with so much baggage it’s hard to overcome. Insecurities, traumas, regrets… There’s a whole wall of emotions between them and they can barely see each other through it. It’s heartwrenching. If you don’t like very sad reads, skip this book. The narrators did an amazing job conveying all those feelings. I was on the verge of crying most of the time. At least, it ends with an HEA for Mia and Adam’s story, but be prepared for a very emotional ride.
