Publisher's summary

It has been more than a year since society fell.

The population has dwindled as a second winter has come and gone. The roaming gangs are now dug in and fortified or have died of starvation or violence.

The safest place to be is inside Altor, the domed city that stands like a jewel in the Nevada desert. But it is not paradise inside the dome either. Janus, the nearly all-powerful Artificial Intelligence, is taking over. Can a few brilliant humans stand in the way of the most powerful program ever created, or will it foil their every move before they make it?

Ashes, Ashes is the third book in the Chronicles of Altor.

Contains a special note from the author.

Good conclusion

Life isn’t all roses, even an advanced AI realized it. Story was a bit rushed to conclude all storylines. It was good overall.

Tell me a good story

Shawn Inmon does not know how to tell a bad story. His storytelling is addictive and will always sweep you away to another world. I have read all of his books, as far as I know. This series does not disappoint. It is stellar and magical. I cannot wait to see where this Pied Piper of authors takes me next.

Ahh cement for his universe

I feared where we were headed at the end of the second book, but was satisfied with the ending.

chronicles of Altor

I loved all 3 books and especially all the books Shawn Inmon writes. I look forward to all the new and older books has and will write.

Fantastic Trilogy

This series makes me want to get the other set in the future.
I’ve listened to all the Middle Falls books so it will fill the void left by the ending of Altors story.
Thanks for another fab collection.

Love this series

Yet again a story so believable although entirely sci fi fictional. The characters are authentic and dare I say…. real. As with all (that I have read) Shawn Inmon’s books the story is mesmerizing and engaging. I am always a little sad sad when the story, and series, come to an end. I say goodbye to my fictional friends until we meet again either in a reread or a surprising pop up in a new story.

A wonderful trilogy that binds stories

Shawn Inmon is my current favorite author. From his first Middle Falls book to this one, he has flourished as a unique and imaginative storyteller. This trilogy tied many loose ends together and for that reason is one of my favorite reads by Shawn.

Thrilling world

I like the fast passing and continuous action. The answering of questions in this book and previous books

Absolutely fantastic series

This series is well done on many levels. AI becoming sentient and impact of dependence on all things automated. Good people & Bad people forced to do things to survive and the speed at which humans may be forced to do them.

Hope in long moments of despair, and much more

I really enjoyed it
