Very enjoyable story and excellent narrator!

This was easy to listen to with an interesting story line. I also liked the narrator's tones and inflections.

Interesting story

I like the main character has a mystery in her life. I like the magic and different powers involved in it. And I am very curious to know what will happen to her and her complicated romantic life.

It was an ok quick drama

I felt like the story had potential to be great but the heroines constant stupidity brought the overall experience down a peg. Narration was great though!

Angsty Paranormal Academy Series Start- with RH

While this was jam packed with non-stop action, lots of fantastic and dangerous magic and some stolen sexy moments, I feel a little like the world building was lacking. We are dropped right into the story, with Zoe the main character getting whisked away to magic school with no answers- for her or me. Next thing I know, she is battling some serious nasties and using new kinds of magic, but the details of the world were all very hazy and felt a little bit like it was being made up as the book went along. That being said, this is just the first book in the series so more world building may come in the next book (and hopefully it won't be as sad either, because this was not an uplifting read). I am for sure interested to see what will happen and I am invested in learning more about Zoe and her three hot protectors.

I will admit that Zoe drove me absolutely batty with her inability to think anything through, instead she plunged into one terrible situation after another- easily risking her own life as well as those around her. I hope that as the series progresses she learns how to rationalize and plan better, or she probably won't live past a second book.

I 100% love this narrator! She gave Zoe so much personality that I feel like she was a real person and her voices for the other characters were all so distinct and unique so I always knew who was talking. This was so well done as an audiobook I was sucked into the story and binged it in one day. I would love to listen to this same narrator read the rest of the Magic Guardian Academy.
