Good read but nothing original

I liked the books and I liked Charlie.
The only thing is that its too close to Harry Potter. Especially for those who have read all of the books where they will find similarities and villains that is to close to be a coincidence.

Ingrid and Katie is a great collaborative pair. I really loved these ebooks and now I love the audios. Kasi is amazing at narrating this book I cant wait to start the second

This story just sucked me in! I absolutly love Charlie. Her character is street smart, spunky, caring and kick ass! I cant wait till books 2 is available to listen to and continure onnthe next adventure Charlie and her friends get into and whats next with her and Rowen .

Awesome!!!

This is an awesome start to the series. The book is filled with action from the very beginning. It pulls you in and just won’t let go. I absolutely love Charlie. She is smart, sassy, loving and doesn’t take any crap. She finds out she is a witch and loses her best friend Trey all in one day and she is devastated but thankfully she finds Disha to help her through. This is the first book I have read/listened to by these authors and I love this world they have built. I love the budding relationship between Charlie and Rowan and can’t wait for more from them. This book has so many twists and turns that you don’t see coming and That Ending... All I can say is I can’t wait to get started on Sophomore Witch.
I love this narrator and she does a wonderful job with this story and these characters.

Great start to an adventure

This book was so much fun to listen to. I really liked Charlie and getting to see the world through her eyes. The narrator did a fantastic job with the different voices and the pacing. The tone and inflections just added to the story making it so when I closed my eyes I felt like I was actually there. I definitely at times wanted to hug Charlie especially in the beginning when she was dealing with so many bad things. The magic system and different species along with their prejudices was really interesting and fun to explore. Rowan and Charlie’s love hate relationship was definitely fun to explore and it was great to see Charlie gain more confidence in herself. I really want to know what happens in the next book and can’t wait to see how Charlie grows more and how her relationships with others change.

Who knew! Charlie's a supernatural witch!

I love this book! Charlie's life has so many changes and challenges, she's gone through so much in just a few months from one surprise to another. First her best friend in the world is murdered, then a magical academy! Things get better with the insert of Desha and her huge personality & eventually Rowan who's takes her breath away, as new friends.
There's just so much to take in from this book!
I totally recommend this book. I now need the next book!

Love this author

Although a bit slow starting, the story grows and draws you in! I bought headphones so I could listen at work because I had to know what happened next!

Fantastic well written paranormal school saga!

Charlie and Tray, what a pair, l loved Tray from the start with his imagination and humour, what a great guy.! l couldn't help but be on Charlie's side, boy that girl has had it hard and wow, more to come. I am looking forward to finding out which of her dead parents were witches and why she was specially chosen during the school year. And the twins were funny. l really want the next book. The narration was fantastic. RECOMMENDED. Clean read.

I got this audiobook by the author to review.
The story itself is good one and enjoyable to listen, if you overlook some of the holes along the way, with complex characters setting that sets off this story, has a some twist on the paranormal, there is drama, action, intrigue, romance and is filled with magic and imagination and is a bit cliche at some point and there is the cliffhanger at the end, anyways the narration was great and I enjoy this book.
