The ZERO virus continues its spread across the globe. For Clay Hopewell and his friends, this spells more danger than ever before.

Digitally reincarnated into the world's most powerful online video game, Clay must now find out what's happening on the outside to save those living in his world. On top of this, he's been pushed into a quest by a young paranoid king, nations are preparing for war, and a malevolent glitch continues its path of destruction.

Even with the help of his sword-slinging girlfriend and thieving best bud, dark forces swirl in the background, hoping to transform the fantasy world they now call home into a digital hell.

Your next quest starts now.

Never hooked me. There narration was done well and the story was interesting a times. I'm also comparing it to all the other books I've listened to this would be the top 200 at least.

Not bad.

This book didn't know what it wanted to be. There were some truly horrific things that happened that the mc glossed over and when he did focus on some heavy topics it felt like he was just paying lip service.

In addition, despite supposedly being a gamer he seems to know little about actually gaming. feeling lied to is a pet peeve of mine and makes me want to instantly give a 1 star review, but logic prevailed and I have to admit it isn't that bad, it just isn't that good either.

If you can gloss over such things it could be worth it. I'll likely read the third book as I tend to give series three chances, but the first was hard and I frankly disliked this one so we will see.

I wanted to rate it lower, but didn't

rated the last one five stars, really annoying me how the protagonist just doesn't feel like hes trying sometimes, like when he just let an old women push him and shade out of the orphanage, really? there are lives on the line and your just gonna let some old lady MAKE you stop asking questions? im not saying smack her but STOP LETTING PEOPLE PUSH YOU AROUND. and it seems like he and shade are just constantly being captured, paralysed, stunned, and before all that the stupid main character decides to literally ignore advice in a life or death situation while fighting a powerful enemy, then he had the bright idea of closing his eyes instead of, oh i dont know.. LOOKING A FEW INCHES IN ANY OTHER DIRECTION OTHER THAN ITS EYES. and then there was the reasoning shade gave as to why the nuns arent trying to help more, really..? they were always going to leave so why bother? i submitted this review, pressed play only to hear that, then stopped listening to the book. backwards morals and stupid protagonist.

A bit better than the 1st? Especially now that we’ve seen a bit of the back-drop which the 1st book took too long to reveal. There’s more plot-development in this, leaving plenty of room for more.
