Take charge of the healing process and become your own long-awaited savior.

Living with a chronic disease is possibly one of the toughest things someone can deal with.

And yet, according to the Rand Corporation, an overwhelming 60 percent of Americans suffer from at least one chronic medical condition, inflammation being the leading culprit.

It really is outstanding to think that if you look around you, you are more likely to see people who are silently dealing with a chronic condition than healthy people.

To add insult to injury, three out of five people worldwide die of a long list of chronic inflammatory diseases.

Inflammation-caused disorders are the main causes of death known to man, and the sad truth is that the numbers will only keep on increasing as the years go by.

Those statistics are indeed alarming and scary.

But the good news is that there are precautions you can take to combat possible health complications from inflammation.

Whether you are struggling with a chronic inflammatory disease, or you just want to nip the problem in the bud, preventing it from ever happening in the first place, then you may want to consider an anti-inflammatory diet.

"Consult your medical practitioner."

The author begins his book with the intention of revealing what inflammation is, it's causes and symptoms, how it is the body's first line of defense and characterized by redness, heat, swelling, pain and loss of function, but can easily get out of control, become chronic and cause numerous problems. To avoid this happening, and to control a system already assailed by inflamation, he suggests a change of lifestyle and avoidance of foods which aggravate the condition by means of the adoption of a diet, removing the foods which were bad and replacing them by those which were good. Although interesting, this first section failed to explain in terms which I could comprehend exactly how the dire diseases quoted were caused by the inflammation. And, instead of telling the reader those foodstuffs to avoid, suggested the adoption of a Mediterranean diet.
It is recipes from this diet plan which are provided.

Perhaps my incomprehension was at least in part down to the narration. Derek Hendrickson has a pleasant, solid voice but he seemed overwhelmed by the medical aspects of what he was reading, as it he had no previous knowledge of word meanoings. His presentation was jerky, with strangely placed pauses (as in 'to tackle -pause - this - pause - situation...) and weird intonations. Towards the end, his reading sounded almost robotic at times. His delivery of the end, his reading sounded almost robotic at times. His delivery of the recipes, however, was much improved, Although the failure to edit out any reworked sentences continued.

The recipes were under four category headings, from chapters 7 to 10 inclusive: breakfast (38 minutes), lunch (32 minutes), dinner (52 minutes), deserts and snacks (40), followed by a simple meal plan in chapter 11. Some of the breakfast smoothies sounded delicious, as did the suggested meal plan. But without easy access to the individual recipes other than the audio bookmark, it would be far better to have a written copy for reference.

My thanks to the rights holder of this book who, at my request freely gifted me with a complimentary copy via Audiobook Boom. Essentially it is a set of recipes from the Mediterranean diet compiled from various sources and is even contradictory in thst, after earlier reporting that margarine should be avoided, includes a recipe using this very fat. However, the recipes were extensive and, without having tried to prepare any, sounded both competent and tasty whether or not they address the inflammation problem, and for this I have given the book three stars. But if the reader holds to follow this diet, but the written book not the audio.

I think this book was made by chat, GPT

It just sounds like about repeating facts. There’s no insight there’s no discussion of life there’s no humanity involved in this.
