Anger is one of the most basic human emotions. In the right context and amount, it can actually be beneficial for one’s state of mind. It’s not healthy keeping your emotions bottled in, so getting angry and letting some of those frustrations out is good for you. To a point. Problems start when our emotions get the best of us and we release the piled up stress of the day through uncontrolled anger.

Do you feel you're not the individual you used to be anymore? Do you feel all your lovely qualities have been stripped away? Are you struggling to see what's true and what's not? Chances are you have been associated with a narcissist for quite a while, living in a false reality. The casual tossing-around of the term "narcissist" has resulted in many individuals assuming wrongly that a narcissist is just someone who has an inflated sense of self-trust and, maybe, a mildly inflated ego as well.

Insightful
What I liked about the book is that it recognize anger as a real emotion to be understood and not suppressed. It is true also as this book entails that many of our emotional states have origins in our childhood. It is very difficult indeed to dust off this mirror of the past and recognize that those childhood experiences that we disliked the most when our parents got angry, are the same ways that we are doing to our own children, repeating what should have been stopped.

Its a good book if the man receiving it is willing
Our therapist is actually reading it now since we told him about it, and loves it. So our therapist approves! Its a good book if the man receiving it is willing to complete the work not just listen through it. Self reflection is the most important part.

Nice audiobook!
The audiobook is very helpful in explaining some of the underlying causes of anger and in providing exercises that are very well worth pursuing. The advice is grounded in a strong sense of realism about the perseverance and commitment needed. However, the benefits of demonstrating this are very well justified. The hypnotherapy recording at the end of the audiobook is a really valuable bonus.
