A forgotten treasure. An old foe. A present-day threat.
A coral restoration project at the East End of Grand Cayman unearths a relic lost to the sea for centuries. As dive boat operator, AJ Bailey, and her friend and mentor, Reg Moore, delve deeper into the 300-year-old mystery, a man Reg wished to never see again returns - along with his habit of stealing other people's treasures.
Anchor Point follows the early 1700s story of a young lad and his family as they fight to survive a Caribbean fraught with danger, from fierce storms to ruthless privateers, while in present day, AJ and Reg do their best to untangle an infamous tale from the Age of Sail.
Book 13 in the best-selling series returns AJ home to the Cayman Islands, and straight into the path of a ruthless man with a bone to pick.

Nicholas Harvey has a knack for blending past and present, and in this latest installment, he masterfully weaves a 300-year-old tale of survival and piracy with AJ and Reg’s modern-day quest for answers. And let me tell you—this one had me hooked.
One of my favorite things about this series is how naturally the past and present storylines unfold. The historical narrative in Anchor Point felt rich and lived-in, making me just as invested in the young lad’s perilous journey as I was in AJ and Reg’s high-stakes dive into the unknown. The pacing had that perfect ebb and flow—moments of quiet discovery followed by sudden bursts of action that had me holding my breath (probably not a great idea while listening to an audiobook).
And as if buried treasure wasn’t intriguing enough, an old foe from Reg’s past slinks back into the picture, adding even more tension to the already high-stakes adventure.
Of course, none of this would have been as immersive without Kim Bretton’s narration. Her delivery captured AJ’s determination, Reg’s wisdom, and the ever-present thrill of the chase in a way that made the story feel all the more real.
Between the dynamic narration, the stunning island setting, and the expertly woven mystery, Anchor Point solidifies why this series keeps me coming back for more. Now, if only I could swap the snow outside my window for the Cayman sun while I listen to the next one!
