creepy but missing something

Personally I loved the first story a lot better. I can't put my finger on it. I liked this one but the wow factor for me wasn't there in this one. It felt rushed in parts.

Captivating plot

Went in blind, never read the first one, was immensely surprised! Great story with the right amount of gore. It felt as tho I were watching a great horror film.

Excellent addition to TEH universe

Nick Roberts knows how to write not only a horror novel, but a whole universe. Great follow up

surprisingly freaking awesome

I was surprised at how absolutely captivating this book was in so many more ways than I expected. very creepy scary for sure but soooooo much other awesome parts. (not giving anything away) this is 10 stars. loved it and great narration!!

Creepy, horrifying, moving, and somehow hopeful.

Nick has a history of crafting complex and relatable characters in his published works. this was by far the most beautifully crafted of his stories. It's not often gore, abject terror, childhood trauma, addiction, and generational healing fit so seamlessly into one story, but it did in this one. As always, looking forward to the next.

this series should be a movie

this is masterful horror. I was at the edge of my seat until the very end

Daisy came with Vengeance

Kind of felt like the first, but with a new Derrick in a little girl and a Daisy that killed with no sorrow! Daisy def was a bit more terrifying this go round!

A sequel on par with the original

What a ride! The follow up is as good as the original! Roberts has a way of making this sort feel hopeless and full of dread. All the way up to the final scene that sick and twisted game never lets up. Cannot recommend this one enough!

Anathema Remix

I’ve read all but one of this author’s novels. This by far was my least favorite. It wasn’t bad but more of the same thing, and felt like a remixed version of the first book. I would have loved to have read more about Meron’s backstory. Not a bad read at all but I expected more.
