Publisher's summary

"I come from a long line of idiots."

Those were the last words his father uttered before dying, and from what he knew of his family tree and the unfortunate end that came to so many of his ancestors, Del Honeycutt couldn't disagree. What he didn't know was that his family held dark secrets - secrets that were about to come crashing down upon him.

A seemingly innocent date gone tragically wrong plunges Del into a web of murder, lies, greed, and a hidden fortune dating back to a crime committed 85 years earlier by his great-grandfather. Accompanied by Sabrina, the sister of Del's brutally murdered date, a violent journey of discovery and fear begins. Pursued by vicious killers intent on eliminating anyone with knowledge of the 85-year-old crime, their only hope of survival is to find the reason behind the original crime and why, decades later, someone is still willing to kill to keep it hidden. But Sabrina is concealing a monstrous lie of her own. Is she who she says she is?

Wow!

I really enjoy non-stop action books. I loved how the author included some treasure hunting mixed in with murder, mystery, historical items, and a great art heist. The storyline is a little unbelievable but is such a fun adventure with all of the twists and turns. I thought the narrator did an awesome job with the various characters and distinguishable voices. Having seen some original Faberge' Eggs in Russia and knowing they are worth multi-millions added to the story for me. I was impressed with the imagery that was written into this book as well. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Good story idea

The story itself is interesting and deserves 5 starts. Unfortunately there is almost all “telling “ the story instead of “showing”. The beginning started well, but in second half of the book it seems that the author struggled to revealing the truth in any kind of interesting way. I think if the author gave the book to half a dozen beta readers and changed the telling to showing, it would turn into an excellent book.
The book is narrated almost as a nonfiction, not a story. The second half is narrated way better, but still wouldn’t deserve 5 stars.

good story

Del and Sabrina set off to find and discover the truth behind a hidden family treasure. This story grabbed my attention from the beginning and both Del and Sabrina are very likable if not entirely believable characters. Their search for hidden treasures leads to an exciting adventure with just the right amount of intrigue. I wasn't crazy about the narrator he wasn't terrible but he was a bit bland for my liking. I received this book for free for an honest review.

Great Listen, Action Packed Thriller!

All Lies is Book 1 of 3 in the “Lies” Mystery Thriller Series by Andrew Cunningham. All Lies is filled with action and suspense from the start. I listen in my car to and from work, on more than one occasion I found myself taking the “long way home” because I just couldn’t stop listening. The story is loaded with well developed relatable characters thrown together in a gripping story that you won't want to miss!!!

As always Greg Hernandez does an outstanding job with narration, his voice is smooth, crystal clear, and easy to follow, he is by far one of my favorite narrators.

Sooo...rumor has it Greg Hernandez will narrate all 3 books in the Andrew Cunningham Lies series. Book 1 All Lies, Book 2 Fatal Lies, Book 3 Vegas Lies. I’m looking forward to listening to each as soon as they are available in Audible.

I recommend this book to fans of mystery, action, and detective works. It was highly enjoyable!

Feel-Good Mystery Narrated Beautifully

You know you have to keep listening when the book starts with "I come from a long one of idiots".
It is a feel-good story where everything works out well in the end. It is about a mystery in Del Honeycutt's life that was created by his ancestors. He is joined by the famous mystery writer, Sabrina Spencer, in his quest to find the truth.

Their journey from Boston to Brazil is full of surprises and bullets with a dash of romance.

I think the characters and the plot are well written. The story is not convincing enough though. Things simply work out for the protagonist which is hard to believe. I think this is one those books you finish in a day, when you are not in the mood to think too much.

I am interested in reading the remaining books in the series as I want to see where Del's mysterious ancestors take him.

Narration: I loved Greg Hernandez' voice and his narration. He has a warm voice, he read very clearly and added appropriate expressions.

Thank you Audiobookwormpromotions.com for giving me an opportunity to review this book.

Do like a murder mystery that makes you feel you

Do like a murder mystery that makes you feel you like you are in the 50's with thrills, fast cars, murders and beautiful ladies well you should get this series. The author does an awesome job in writing this type of books even though the timeline is in the present day.
Del a rather dull and plain old dude with a dull job and no love life to speak of is the main character. His father just died and then very strange hings start happening one murder after another all due to Dels father side of the family best described as ldiots and crooks. You get a run down of his father side that starts in1800 England onto America and to the present all crooks and was all murdered or died in the attempt of doing something very illegal.
As you start to listen you meet Sabrina a famous author with a very dark secret pass, her adopted sister who is the first to be murdered.
And finally Del get a life of running from shadows, a possible life with Sabrina if he lives.
So for a good ride and adventure you must read or listen to this series.

Better than expected mystery

This was a pretty decent mystery story more about the past than the present. I found parts of it a tad unbelievable with everyone but the 2 main characters getting killed and they manage to escape every time. Likeable characters and a decent plot. More a mystery of a long lost hidden treasure. Action packed.

Will not recommend as audio

If I had read this I would have enjoyed the story but as an audio, I found it very hard to enjoy. The narration is bland and boring. Definitely need to replace the narrator. Even a teacher reading to preschool shows more emotion and interest. I won’t be listening to any more with this narrator
