Nikolai Alexei Young was born with a special gift...one he'd do anything to lose. The heart and soul of every person he comes into contact with is an open book to his heightened senses. Colorful emotions, whispers of thoughts, the sour tastes of old memories.... He feels them all. The sci-fi books would call him an empath. For Nikolai, his ability has made him an exile. He roams the US alone, avoiding the glut of life in big cities, and using his innate talents to win money in underground poker games. Just enough to keep going, one town to the next.

An unexpected tragedy leaves Professor Nathaniel Hunt a widower alone with a newborn baby. He hires a nanny. She’s young but well-qualified, with a simple life, a crazy name obsession, and a boyfriend she met at the grocery store. Over time, he discovers she knows things about him - things that happened before she was born - like a hidden scar on his head, his favorite pizza, and how he cheated on a high school Spanish test. She speaks familiar words and shares haunting memories that take him back to over two decades earlier when he lost his best friend in a tragic accident.

It’s been said that you can’t love two men at the same time. You can’t split your heart, soul, and body in half. But I’m here to tell you, you can. Dylan Cole is like ice, sharp and unpredictable, the thunder inside a tumultuous storm. Smith Reid is warmth, soft and gentle, perfect like a sunny day. Both are mine. But I can have only one. There are two sides to this tale. I'm here to tell you mine. If you think this story is about a cheater, you couldn’t be more wrong.

The average song is three and a half minutes long; those three and a half minutes could lead to a slow blink, a glimpse of the past, or catapult the soul into heart-shattering nostalgia. At the height of my career, I had the life I wanted, the life I'd always envisioned. I'd found my tempo, my rhythm. Then I received a phone call that left me off key.

Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning. I was late for the first day at my new job - a job I’d now have to compete for, even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger. While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons. She’d ticketed a long line of cars - except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine. Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine.

Publisher's Summary
Reeling from her loss, Kacey Dawson is grieving and heartbroken, her addictive demons hauling her back into the alcohol-soaked abyss she worked so hard to crawl out of. Kacey teeters on the edge of oblivion and must fight her way through the pain, to build a new life for herself with her music, and somehow fulfill the promise she made to Jonah...one she feels is impossible to keep.
Theo Fletcher has a secret burning in his heart, one that he holds close, while he struggles to keep strong for his family, which is falling apart. His mother's health is fragile and his father's disapproval is breaking him down. Theo is afraid if he follows his heart, he'll fail, and not just himself but also his brother, who believed in him when no one else did.
Drawn together by their pain, Theo and Kacey slowly build a friendship, re-forge old ties, help each other to heal, and give one another the courage to reach for their dreams. Together, from the depths of grief and guilt, they learn to laugh again, to trust again, and quite possibly find something beautiful and lasting amid the shattered pieces of their broken hearts.

BEAUTIFUL! HEARTWARMING! FOLLOW UP TO BOOK ONE!!!
All In was a excellent heart-warming follow up to book one (Full Tilt.) After having my heart broken in book one, I was happy Kacey and Theo were able to find solace, and love in each other.
Book two picks up closely where book one ends. Kacey's is having a hard time dealing with her loss, and can no longer handle being in the same city. Without telling anyone, Kacey moves to New Orleans, and reverts back to old habits, music and booze. She's drowning in sorrow, and drinks to numb the pain. She writes, sings, and plays her guitar at a couple of the local bars, and becomes known as the drowning girl.
Theo isn't doing much better. He's struggling with the pain of losing his brother, Jonah. He also carries the guilt of not being able to uphold one of the promises he made to his brother, and for the rejection he feels from his father not accepting his career choice. Theo is a tattoo artist who goes to college to earn a degree in business management in hopes of opening his own tattoo shop. Theo's brother believed in his skills, and left him the money to start the tattoo shop, but his father doesn't approve of him being a tattoo artist.
Six months after Kacey vanished, Theo receives a call from someone concerned about her. He finally has the opportunity to uphold his promise.......to take care of Kacey. He flies to New Orleans, and helps Kacey recover, and kick her drinking habit. They become close, develop feelings for each other, but try to fight them. When they finally give in, they start a long distance relationship. Theo's family, and Jonah's closest friends are reluctant to accept their relationship, but do come around.
This story was filled with many heart warming moments, but the most touching scene, and my favorite was Theo's dad visiting his tattoo shop..... that scene was priceless!
The narrators did an awesome job, and delivered on the different emotions. All In is well worth the time, credit or sale. While this story can be listened too as a stand alone, if you have not listened to book one, I recommend listening to it first. Both audios are great, but book one was amazing.

Magical from beginning to end
This book had me from it's very first word until it's very last. This story is beautiful and perfectly paced, written like an enchanting song. I can't say enough, I really don't have the words. I'm in love with the characters and the development. Nothing felt rushed or forced, not a single hair out of place. My only advice is to keep a pack of tissues nearby!

Awesome. Best books in quite some time.
Finished both books in 3 days on a drive across the states. The scene at the Cajun restaurant/ Jazz Club definitely drew me in and remains w/ me. He didn't know how to dance, ha ha, just not how he wanted to dance with her showing every raw emotion that he felt for her. He was already under the microscope in front of all their family and friends.I LOVED both these books: Full Tilt and All In. Well written, great narrators.

SO WONDERFUL, MY HEART IS SO FULL!!!!!
If you could sum up All In in three words, what would they be?
Wonderful, beautiful, fantastic!!!
What was one of the most memorable moments of All In?
Dad at the end!!!! And the blue butterfly!!!
Have you listened to any of Caitlin Kelly and Jeremy York ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Lots of Caitlin, I just love her, she is so wonderful to listen too...I can not recommend her enough! First time listening to Jeremy..and he was just fine...I would listen to him again...but I cant say I would seek him out...
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
This would make a beautiful movie...combine both the books....and give us a movie....It would surely be a hit!!
Any additional comments?
** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **
I LOVED THIS, IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!! WELL NARRATED AND A GREAT STORY!!!
After the death of Jonah, no one is doing well....Jonah was so loved...Kacey and Theo are so heart broken, and Jonah's mom is having such a rough time....Kacey runs away....she goes to New Orleans...she is working on her music...and drinking herself to death...being very destructive...A friend of Kacey's searches out someone who knows her to get her help...he finds Theo...Theo comes to her and helps her get sober again..and a very special friendship ensues...Kacey doesn't know that Jonah asks Theo to love her...but he already did...and together, they heal..and so does the friend and family Jonah left behind....This was so great,,I will keep this one close to my heart for a long long time!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! THIS IS MY FAVE DUET OF THE YEAR SO FAR, WELL WORTH YOUR TIME AND A CREDIT!!!

LOVE isn't a strong enough word!!!!
This story was perfection. I loved Kacey &Theo in the first book and was hopeful for their future, but Ms. Scott REALLY DELIVERED in this one!!! Don't get me wrong, there were totally moments I wanted to strangle someone - like Theo's mom at one point - but I really, really enjoyed this story and am so very happy I took the time to listen to it!!

What I wanted from this duet
ALL IN took me on the journey I’d originally wanted throughout FULL TILT. This book made me feel everything, want everything and love Teddy more and more. Casey’s journey was both compelling, hard to watch and yet this whole story is a fulfilling journey. Emma Scott writes consistently well and her character development was as deep as deep can be.
I struggled a little with the male narrator in this book, he just wasnt the perfect personalisation of Theo for me because of his drawl. The female narrator remained a strong feature of the listen.
