Publisher's summary

When a wedding planner’s first gig teams her up with a sexy stuntman, will she crash and burn…or be airlifted to love?

Behind Eli McCain’s Texas drawl lies an extreme sports lover, a former Hollywood stuntman…and a broken heart. Left at the altar a year ago, he’s not happy when Thrillseekers Anonymous, the extreme sports club he cofounded, gets into the celebrity wedding business. Especially since Marnie Banks, the wedding coordinator with the stunning smile and sexy curves, never stops talking.

Marnie, meanwhile, hopes planning an A-list celebrity wedding will be her ticket to success. If only her glamorous clients weren’t constantly throwing outrageous demands at her. And if only Eli wasn’t so guarded - and so jaw-droppingly handsome.

But when the wedding turns from extreme to extremely disastrous, Eli and Marnie must work together against the elements, their bickering clients, and their own smoldering attraction to save the day. Will the sparks flying between them ignite into something real and passionate…or will they both end up burned?

Romantic but....

I’m a Julia London fan, but I’m new to her contemporary work. My main problem is that many of Marnie’s antics—which are supposed to be the source of humor—are really the outcome of her having no backbone and being a wuss. There’s nothing funny about that. Fortunately, this only shows up in her work as a wedding planner and not in her love life. I just wish they were funny instead of evidence of a woman who needs to be in an assertiveness training program. So there are some seriously irritating parts and parts that could’ve been fixed or prevented earlier. Nonetheless, the romance that the author manages to create, especially the last hour or 30 minutes of the book are so enchanting that it erases the irritating parts that occurred earlier. So it might be worth buying at the end. The narrator is perfect in trying to make things funny, but she does a poor job when having to do two foreign accents. They were almost offensive. But overall, I really enjoyed the narrator b/c the foreign accents were such a small part of the book. So I don't know whether to recommend or not. Though I can say that I don't regret having purchased this book, but I'm also not rushing to purchase more of her contemporary work nor running from the possibility in the future. So.....

NOT HEART-POUNDING - JUST A NICE EASYGOING LISTEN

Julia London branches out into the Contemporary genre from her usual Historical romances and the result is a light refreshing feel-good listen.

It was a fun listen too as Eli tries to make a success of her new wedding planning business whilst being employed and drawn to the handsome and all too capable hunk Marnie who is a member of an extreme sports junky group called Thrillseekers Anonymous but he's been burned by love before and tries to keep away. However, she is funny, sassy, sexy and lovely and, as disaster strikes, he has a hard time resisting her, and of course, in the end he gives in to temptation (not too graphic).

Worth a credit? It's an easy going, light romance with nice characters and for $7.95 for nearly 12 hours it's a bargain. I wouldn't use a credit I'd just buy it and save my credit for a pricier listen.

Humerous and Romantic

Eli and his pals are the owners of a very successful company that provides extreme adventures for those who can afford it. When one of their best clients, an A-list actor, wants to include a wedding in his adventure, they find themselves in need of a wedding planner. Marnie wants to jumpstart her career as a wedding planner, so she is all game when the Thrillseekers Anonymous guys want her to "audition" for the job. This opening for Julia London's Wedding Survivor is both improbable and highly entertaining. On the one hand, it seems like no self-respecting professional would do some of the bits that the men ask of her (it's nothing lewd or licentious, just nothing practical, either). But this is fiction, so one suspends disbelief (because it IS entertaining) and moves on (but this is also the reason for the 4-stars versus 5).

Once you get past the premise, the execution of the story is both hilarious and heartwarming. Marnie is, at first, awestruck by her celebrity client, but she soon realizes that she is working with the client from hell. Eli, who never wanted to deal in the wedding business in the first place, is overseeing the job, and the two have an immediate rapport. Marnie, at times, puts up with just way too much crap from her client, but her interactions with Eli are fun and funny. It's Eli, however, who makes the book for me.

Eli is protecting his heart, which was broken a year ago when his fiancee dumped him just before their wedding day. We see him struggle with his emotions, feel vulnerable to love, screw up the whole relationship, and beautifully--and heartwarmingly--redeem himself in the end. It's the glimpses into Eli's thoughts and emotions, and his journey toward love, that made me love this hero and this book.

Renee Raudman did a good job with the narration once you got used to her Texas accent.

Nice listen.

I guess this was a reissue from books past and this is the first in the series according to its preface at the beginning of the audio. It was a cute fun story. Entertaining with some comical parts. Very sweet as well. The price is good for the length so I enjoyed it. Narration was okay as well. Worth the price.

LAUGH OUT LOUD ! CRY ....LOVED IT!

This book was so funny and a true love story. Loved Marnie and Eli and their bantor ...she is hilarious. The story is light and loving....only 3 or 4 sex scenes and not to erotic. It was a perfect mix. It will lift your heart and give you laughs. The narrator was excellent in her voice changes. The only complaint I have is that she may have made some characters sound a little older than they actually are. But aside from that she did an awesome job and the many different characters ! I really can't say enough , I was in the mood for not so much erotic and a little more true love. Thank you !!!

Light and realistically contemporary

Would you listen to All I Need Is You again? Why?

I'd listen again because the characters were so darn like able and because I love Renee Raudman's narration.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Marnie. Like all of us, she's had tough times. Not traumatic but challenging. But she still believes in people and opportunities and she's not going to give up on her dream of being a wedding planner because the situation isn't made-to-order.

What does Renee Raudman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Renee is the bomb with vocal characterization.

Any additional comments?

I'm looking forward to the next installment of Thrillseekers.

Not worth my time

Any additional comments?

I did not care for this book. The story has nothing special. I found the heroine is annoying. I got this book during the 3 books for 2 credits special. I wish I can return it.

Tolerable

Not my favorite book by Julie London. Some of the characters got on my last nerve and I couldn’t stand the narration in the beginning of the book. I did get used to her as I continued to listen but it certainly took away from the overall experience.

Funny book!

Was happily surprised with this author I have never read before..found it very funny with a good romance also !! Look grotto reading more of her books..The only thing I found fault with ,was the narrative of the male voices, did not seem to go with their descriptions..by the end of the book they seemed better !!
