Worth the read!

If you are a fan of Sarah J Maas this is right up your alley! I loved the narration, I’m so glad they didn’t change the voice throughout. There were definitely some very unpredicted turns to the story! Yes there is a romance but the twists and turns of their story is what makes this book so well thought out! If you have some time on your hands give this series a shot! It’s got imperial rivalry, romance, class diversification, magic, and of course friendship!

Caitlin Kelly is amazing and the story is captivating

This story is full of twists and turns. Caitlin Kelly performs the story with unique voices and makes you feel like you are watching a movie while only listening. The book is engaging. The characters are worth getting to know and wanting to persevere. Very enjoyable.

Absolutely fantastic, never in all the books did I get bored

I loved the story, pacing and performance. The focus was less on sexual chemistry and more actual plot line and development of characters

Delightful! Engaging!

What a wonderful and delightful journey this book took us on! The characters were portrayed so realistically; the antagonist and protagonist were clearly portrayed, yet the plot frequently left us wondering if we were wrong. It was really a delightful and fulfilling read, as it was a comprehensive compilation of 60 hours of the whose series. However, it still leaves me wanting for another installment. I highly recommend this.

ATLA vs AA

I loved it. It was like ATLA but more magical, romantic, and brutal. And I was really hoping for a scene where she used her air magic like when Zaheer from Legend of Korra air bends the air right out of the Earth Queens lungs, and I got that scene but in a new way I wasn’t expecting

Masterful!

I thoroughly enjoyed this series and I am hoping that there will be a continuation - book six and more so that we can learn more about the North and some two cute new friends. The narration was excellent. Highly recommended!

This is my first book/series by Elise Kova

I did very much like this story, it has kind of a slow start but the characters evolve greatly. As did the world around it. Between magic,war,slow burn romance, and just a fascinating tail like I have not yet experienced. Predictable in some instances but also some nice twists and turns.
But I will say this Malcom in the middle season 4 episode 13, 16 minutes in. 😂
worth the credit indeed! Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

Unbelievably wonderful series

I couldn’t believe all of the twists and turns in the story. The commoner and the prince had to meet such incredible mountainous problems that could only be overcome by love, determination, magic, and help from Vi. I’d love to read a sequel with the twins. Does the heir still have to go live in the North for 14 years, Do Alicea and Dex get together permanently? Does the Empire get to have a chance at peace and prosperity?
