5***** Must Listen!!!!!

Caitlin Kelly's narration on these newly revised audiobooks truly brings each character to life, enhancing the storyline.

Air Awakens series takes my emotions on a roller coaster ride, one on which I will ride over and over. I read the series about a year ago. Now upon finishing the audiobooks, I experienced the same emotions as if it were the first time. The series is so well-written. It's filled with humor, magic, crystals, bonds, love, friendships, betrayal, fear, destiny, trust, symbols, respect, sacrifice, loss, freedom, acceptance, admiration, fate, heartache, war, hardship, redemption, hope.

Well-developed characters who show strength and growth throughout. Intricately detailed world-building.

"I refuse to love you halfway."

Wow!

After reading several "not able to put it down" books by Elise in a row, I got this entire series in audiobook because I HAD to get some things done. Caitlin Kelly's performance combined with Elise's story meant I couldn't stop listening! This series has it all! Exciting battles, friendships, enemies, political intrigue, discovering your power, magic, arranged marriages, the healing arts, and a well done improbable, slowburning, earth shattering romance. I can't wait to get the sequel but was heartbroken when I listened to the audio sample. It isn't Caitlin Kelly again : ( The new narrator's voice is so grating that I couldn't even listen to the entire sample. Now I have to decide between Elise's sequel or another authors series recorded by Caitlin. Maybe I'll just listen to this entire series again!

Captivating

I love love this author. She had me crying, laughing and on the edge of my seat.

OK there were times I was really ready to kill some people while I was listening but the simple fact was that I still wanted to listen because I had to get to the end of this bloody series but now that I know there's another series after this series I'm in for another long week

Very good overall

This was way better then I thought it was going to be! Great story and great narrator. It was also nice that all of the books was only one credit.

Always a good storyteller

I blindly read the vortex series first several years ago. It took me a while to realize it was a sequel to Air Wakens.

I am glad I took the time to read the original series. It lays things out well and sets up the paths the story line can take. As always Kova’s books are well written with strong heroines. As with most things indecisiveness and unwillingness to be hold accountable for the impact of one’s actions on others drives the outcomes.

Excellent series

I was hooked from the first book. I also like happy ending. listened to all 5 books.

A fun series with emotional rides to boot

It’s a fun series the story line is interesting and entertaining.
I’ve enjoyed the five book set looking forward to the next installments in this story line.
How can you go wrong the fight between good and evil, duty honor with a lot of romance.
Mon or women would enjoy this. I know I have.

Very well written , but too many disasters

The story is very interesting. However, I wish there were less disasters. I felt that there were some incidents that could have been spared. spoiler alert: the death of Prince Balder and the fact that they have to give their first born for 14 years are huge disasters that did not contributed to the story

Kudos!

Ms Kona had my attention from chapter one. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself listening to the entire series in one go! The characters were wonderfully developed and I enjoyed the narration.
