I’ll Take Everett!

I love Corinne Michaels’ writing, & this beautiful, sweet, loving, sexy, loyal relationship between Violet & Everett did not disappoint. The dirty talk was definitely fine, & Everett’s care for his mother made him even sexier.

The Ember Falls cast of supporting friends are super special; I love the banter. And, I was pleased to have Katherine Cole back in the mix; the Cole Security men & wives are some of the best.

Andi Arndt was fantastic as always, a perfect Violet. This was my first listen of Robert Hatchett, & while his very precise enunciation of many words was off-putting, overall I came to enjoy his deep voice for Everett. I loved the listen!

Duet Narration
This could be my new favorite from Corinne! Definitely my favorite of the series, so far!! This small town, second chance, pregnant, but not his baby, has my whole freaking heart! && the audio?! Duet && the narrators really brought these characters to life. This is book three of the Ember Falls series, but can be read as a complete standalone. This book is about Violet, who finds out that her terrible (now ex)husband is having an affair and decides to move back to Ember Falls. But she’ll have to confront her past and the boy she left behind. Everett is all grown up, and seriously just one of the best men I have ever read about. He is the town vet, and has been taking care of his mother, whom has memory problems. He finds out Violet, the one who got away, is back in town. There has never been another woman that has come close to Violet for him. She is bringing light back into his life, and not even a baby from her past marriage is going to stop him from winning back the love of his life. I love these two so much! && I love that Corinne snuck in a couple of my favorite authors (Laura Pavlov & Catherine Cowles) into the story! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Second chance perfection!

How? How does this series keep getting better?

After Violet finds out in a very public way that her celebrity husband is cheating on her, she heads to Ember Falls to start over. She’s reunited with Everett, her high school sweetheart and now neighbor. I liked that they didn’t just pick up where they left off. Neither have the time to give to a relationship right now. Violet is finally moving on after her divorce, then finds out she’s pregnant with her ex’s baby. Everett is already balancing work and caring for his mother, but he steps up and is there for Violet. Everett is an absolute dream when he does and I enjoyed seeing Violet find herself, her strength and her worth.

Duet narration by Andi Arndt and Robert Hatchet and boy did they deliver!!! Violet has serious trust issues based on her relationships with her parents and ex. I felt Violet struggling with her past, the prospect of being a single mom, and the lighthearted times with her female friends through Andi’s performance. Robert embodied all facets of Everett. From the compassionate, caring son, the joker and disc golf teammate, and just plain swoony the way he loves Violet. They brought these two to life and I couldn’t stop listening.

I loved everything about this visit to Ember Falls. I am a sucker for a second chance story and I couldn’t get enough of this one. It’s small town with big heart and great characters and no third act break up. I can’t wait for the next in this series

Second Chance

Andi Arndt and Robert Hatchet duet narration really made this book come to life for me. Violet and Everett were childhood sweethearts. They were separated by college and youth. Now Violet is back in Ember Falls. Will they be able to have a happily ever after? This is a wonderful series. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Healing and Strength from Love

Written and acted/narrated with such skill that I was compelled to yell at the one acting badly, hope for the HEA and chuckle aloud at the light moments!
