To make matters worse, she's nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. I can't get away from this story
OK--I loved the first one, the second was 'meh' and this one was seemingly ENDLESS. The same stuff over and over. Hardin is a jerk to Tessa, she cries, he apologizes, she can't seem to get a grip on how to stand up to him, she also can't seem to tell him what's going on, she questions EVERYTHING and on and on and on and on. I don't know when I have been so involved with such an overblown and meaningless story. Hardin is indeed the JERK OF THE WORLD...he cannot seem to get a handle on his anger and takes it our on everyone, espeically Tessa who lets him walk all over her and then cries some more. This third installment is not much different from the first two. Yes, Hardin had some issues that were troublesome growing up but GET A GRIP and move on. Whew...I'm worn out. BUT!! I am also captive to the story and will finish it out (thank god!) in the final book. The narration is very good..both Shane East and Elizabeth Louise do nice jobs of the characters. I can only think that during the endless and repetitious events and situations, they must be rolling their eyes and saying...will this ever end. I understand this is wildly popular and has been optioned for a movie. Well oh boy.
I do have to add that Ms Todd has a real eye/ear for humor, though and I have laughed out loud at several of Hardin's comments. He can be quite funny. Tessa however, only knows how to gnash her teeth, question her every move and cry. Please make it stop

Same shit, different day
Like a bad train wreck, I can’t look away. I can’t stop as I’ve invested too much into this toxic, codependent couple. They stress me out and I cringe at the level of immaturity these two have when any problem arises. They know exactly what buttons to push to make the other angry and they both will say and do anything just to spite the other. Yet, they love each other and absolutely can not be without one another. They both live in hopes that the other will truly change. I get it, I really do but when will their roller coaster of a emotional cluster fuck relationship improve? When will they learn from their past mistakes?! My heart aches for Hardin, which is crazy, I know, but I feel he is truly trying to improve his character but he can’t quite figure it out as he did not have a father to guide him through his younger years. This is new to him and he wants to improve, but he is constantly reminded of his dysfunctional upbringing, his past mistakes & just what a fuck up he has always been. He needs some intense therapy and positive guidance to show him his way. Then there’s Tessa who needs to stop with the enabling and stand her ground every time she’s “SO done” this time with the “back and forth” 🙄. Hardin starts to change and work on his anger issues but when shit gets rough, that temper is still blazin’ and he turns to the only thing he knows can numb his pain. Alcohol and drugs. Tessa finally grows a back bone and demands space from him but slowly she starts spending more and more time with him which causes them to backtrack. I honestly don’t know how many times their friends and family can take their shitfest of a relationship as they continue to make everyone miserable with their constant extreme fighting/dramatic relationship. Over and over again. Fight, fuck, repeat. Over all, this book is basically like the other two. Same shit, different day But like Tessa, I keep holding on to the hope that Hardin will finally get the help and therapy he needs because, like I said, my heart truly breaks for just how awful his life has been. The guy has been through some real shit! Damn you, Anna Todd, for pulling me in once again. I am not a reader..AT ALL, but this is the 3rd I’ve read this week. I literally started the series 7 days ago. On to the next one, After Ever After.

Tessa Is Toxic
I wanted to love this series.. I wanted Hardin to change, for her... But with every chapter she just keeps doing all of the things she knows drives him crazy.. The biggest problem for me from the last book and this one is that she has caused all of the real issues with them. She continually plays games with him and Zedd against each other.. And let's be real Zedd of all people seems like a good person to turn to? Overall they are very dysfunctional and toxic to each other, but I find myself seeing her as the real problem here..

Hard to finish!
I kept reading this series because I actually sort of enjoyed the first one, but as I continue it’s becoming painfully hard to listen to, and I found myself skipping parts just to get to the end! AND when I finally did I was even more irritated, I’m convinced this story was a whim and not thought out at all. Nothing fits or even remotely makes sense! I am at the point that I don’t even care to find out how Tessa and Hardens story ends, I’ll just walk away now!

I loved the first book. The second book was a tad bit boring, but this one made me want to not finish the series. Tessa is so annoying, and the dumbest supposedly smart person. Hardin is Hardin. I hope the next book is more like the first.

Did someone else write this?!
Can't say enough great things about the narrators...
This book seemed so far from the first if you told me someone was else wrote it I would believe you.
Hardin was basically a rapist/sex addict...and Tessa was a whiny 5-year-old who lacked any kind of common sense. Not the same characters from the first book I fell in love with .
Where is this story going?! So many looooong and unnecessary details that have nothing to do with the forward moving of the story.
Pretty disappointing.

I’m 7 chapters in to book 3 and have to abandon ship. Same s@$! Over and over and over!!! Tessa has no backbone. Hardin is a verbally abusive ass. I feel like they should be in high school not 21 in college. Don’t waste the time or the credit.

AWFUL narration
TBH I couldn’t get past chapter 10 because the narration is so cringeworthy and downright awful that try as I might, I just could not listen to another minute. Why oh why oh bloody WHY can authors not get that having a man impersonate a woman’s voice is beyond off putting, it is downright absurd! I don’t get it, why can’t they just have men narrate male characters???
Additionally the storyline is weak and about as riveting as reading the phone book. I read book one of the “after” series and will give book 3 a go but if I don’t get hooked after 15 minutes of listening I’m afraid that will be it for me and “after”.

This one was a struggle to finish.
I was excited to listen to this book as I had watched the first two movies and really liked the story. However, this book drug on and on and on, but I kept with it hoping it would end with an impressive finish. It was went on way to long with the same details over and over, this story could have been told in half the time. I could sum this book up with a sentence. A girl keeps sticking around while a boy struggles with his insecurities over and over again. Really wish there was more moving forward with their relationship.

Powerful
Found After We Fell to be a very in lighting story. Full of drama and romance. It tells us about real Life having it challenges, how hard it is to really control you emotions and feelings. It show two people who have different challenge and different ways of coping. This book is well written and engaging.

Lies, deceit, abuse... and unconditional love
I read the whole series. It was ...OK. I found the characters to be incredibly frustrating & hard to relate to or even like. Hardins behaviour is appalling and Tessa doesn't have a backbone and is a victim throughout. I really hope that the young adults who read these books and watch the films realise that this behaviour isn't OK and they deserve better.
The books were hard to get through (but I needed to know how it finished). Although they sort themselves out in the end, I couldn't help thinking about all the time wasted listening to these. Especially when I could have just watched the movies...

Hope the movie is better!
The characters voices threw me off, it was strange that in Tessa’s chapter, Hardins dialogue was read by what sounded like a woman and when it was Hardins chapter, Tessas dialogue was read by a man. Very confusing! The story didn’t seem to come to any big climax and it was just Hardin being angry and swearing all the time. Like I said, hope the movie is better!!!

Some nice twists
I enjoyed this one more than the 2nd book. I still enjoy Shane East’s sexy British male tone. Hardin is still an arrogant arse (and not ass as he pronounces in the narration). I felt Hardin pretty irritating, surely no-one could put up with his extreme negativity all the time.. it would be soul destroying! But once again I continue to listen to these books without a break.. the 3 books listened to in 4 days! So yes, you just need to know what happens next ...I would recommend readers to continue reading/listening

Such an unnecessarily long book
I actually had to stop midway, read another (lighter) book and come back. I found myself becoming irritated with all of the characters. The writing style seemed a bit juvenile.. or it could just be my intolerance building as I push through these books. The storyline is ok in principle, but the author just can't get to the point, somehow feeling the need to duplicate and replicate situations/fights etc over and over again. Where the hell is this woman's editor??

Guilty pleasure
Nothing groundbreaking in this storyline,
A little repetitive sometimes, however it is somewhat addictive in a drama filled guilty pleasure kinda way.
