So good

I enjoyed Tanner and Rita’s story. The audiobook was amazing, narrators did an amazing job bringing the characters to life.

4.5 Simmering Stars!

This was a great audiobook! The narration was fantastic. Both narrators had perfect timing! I love it when you can't even tell their reading, but instead telling the story.
This book grabs you right out of the gate with some pretty shocking events.
Tanner and Rita meet out of happenstance and he is generous enough to play along with Rita's ruse.
I was laughing out loud at their banter and Tanner's persistence in trying to get Rita to go out with him. I found these two to be absolutely charming. It's an emotional story for sure. <3

The ending was perfection, epilogue was fantastic

I adored Aly Martinez's Darkest Sunrise Duet and counted it on my Favorites of 2017 list. So I was v. excited to read Across the Horizon, the story of Tanner and Rita, two characters from the Darkest Sunrise Duet. The author is known for her angsty love stories and she's one of my favorite one-clicks. I adored both Tanner and Rita, and loved them together even more. They had the best witty banter and fantastic chemistry! The ending was perfection, only to be topped by the fantastic epilogue. A must read! Emma Wilder is a long-time favorite of mine and I loved her performance. This is my second time to hear Troy Duran and I am adding him to my favorites list- his performances are fantastic!

Emotion leaps off the page.

My favorite stories are the identifiers. Stories that carry a sense of truth that is relatable and raw. Characters that inspire by example and authors who are not afraid to expose their heart even at the worst moments. Across the Horizon is a compilation of fate, love and heartbreak. Martinez peers into an aching heart and a second chance at a surprising time. Emotion leaps off the page and pulls at your heart. Rita and Tanner are a match made in heartache, but healed by love.

This girl is a huge fan!

Easily a 4 star listen! Aly Martinez wrote such a beautiful story of second chances and starting over. Each of the main characters were instantly likable and easy to connect to. Watching them learn to love themselves after they thought their lot in life was determined and final was so addictive. The chemistry was off the charts and the emotions were on high! Loved loved loved! The narration was wonderful as well. The delivery really painted a picture in my mind while I was listening and made connecting with everyone that much better.

Big fan and definitely one I will listen to again and again!
