Publisher's Summary

Ace Locke is Hollywood's hottest action hero. Women across the globe fling their panties in his direction, but Ace isn't interested in those - he's more of a boxer briefs kind of guy. Specifically, those of the nearly naked male model on a billboard he drives past every day.

Though he recently made headlines for his public coming out, Ace is wary about pursuing a relationship, fearing what the court of public opinion will do to his career. But there's something in the model's expression that intrigues him and has him wondering what if?

Dylan Prescott just scored his biggest modeling campaign yet. One that has him plastered all over L.A. in not much more than what he was born with. And when he's cast in Ace's latest blockbuster, it puts him in close proximity to his ultimate fantasy.

Outwardly confident, Dylan has no problem with his sexuality or his pretty-boy looks, and uses both to his advantage to get what he wants. And what he wants is the impossible - Ace Locke.

From Ella Frank's Sunset Cove series and Brooke Blaine's L.A. Liaisons series comes a scorchingly hot novel that blends humor, passion, and romance. What happens when these two worlds collide?

Lust quickly becomes something more tangible.

If you could sum up Aced in three words, what would they be?

Thrilling, Intense, Erotic.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dylan but just barely, I really, thoroughly enjoyed both Dylan and Ace immensely. Both men were driven and focused and once that focus and drive was directed at one another, holy hell, it was nothing short of amazing.

What does Charlie David bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brings the characters to life.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This film has been rated R by the motion picture association due to strong language and what could possibly be the most intense and electric connection between two men ever captured on film.

Any additional comments?

I devoured this book, had to force myself to remove the ear buds to sleep. Ace and Dylan are definitely one of the sexiest couples I've ever read or listened to. Add to that Charlie David's amazing narration and this book quickly became a favorite.

Let me tell you what I enjoyed most. That the two adult males in this book were every bit adult. There was zero angst and minimal miss-communication. You can't have a relationship with anyone without occasional interference but it never monopolized the story. The growing relationship between Ace and Dylan was always the core of the story and I loved that so much. If you like stories where the characters are strong, fierce and loyal... balanced perfectly with human flaws and concerns, you really need to give this one a try.

Like. 2.5 written by and for women apparently

Started out good, sex was one note if steamy, gay men have more than one position. By the end the cliffhanger didn't have enough pull for me to want more from the story.

TOO MUCH BASS!

If you could sum up Aced in three words, what would they be?

Fantastic Enjoyable toomuchbass

Any additional comments?

The story is great, the narrator is excellent. I am not sure how it was done when finishing the audio for the story, but the narrator has WAY too much bass. It makes it a bit harder to hear yet dually once you turn it up, the bass can be heard throughout the house.

To listen in my car, I had to adjust the mix....no bass and as much treble as I could get and it's still a problem.

If you can muscle through a bad mix job, the story is PHENOMENAL. I am so hooked on what happens next, I have to listen to all of the books, even with the bass problem.

Off to listen to Locked now.. 😉

This is a story about a famous recently-out-of-the-closet action star and an unassuming model. Both have a crush on each other and both had the Fate smiling upon them as they end up working on the same movie project together.

Ella and Brooke painted the Hollywood life well.
Ace is a hotshot movie star and Dylan just landed his first movie gig, quite different from his usual modeling gig. Their lifestyle couldn’t be different from each other. Ace also lacks privacy and keeps a tight lid of on everything. Dylan, on the other hand, is very carefree and open. He does not have the same issue as Ace when it come to privacy — at least not yet.

Ace and Dylan’s chemistry is intense and undoubtedly inevitable. But for some Hollywood-glass-bowl reason, Ace is on the fence with pursuing Dylan until he couldn’t deny himself anymore.

And dang, these two are so hot together!!!

I adore Dylan’s character, his open demeanor and how down to earth he is. I feel for Ace, but I couldn’t understand why he’s so concerned about being spotted with a boyfriend when he’s already out of the closet.

I feel like we will get to know more about their character, their depth and Dylan’s background in the next book of this trilogy.

Aced ends with a cliffhanger. If Locked wasn’t sitting in my library all cued up as my next listen, I’d have gone out of my mind wondering what’s about to happen now.

Charlie David’s voice gave life to both Ace and Dylan and he did an excellent job. He can speak gibberish and it’ll still be sexy!

If you’re a big fan of Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine, I don’t have to tell you to grab a copy. You probably already have one. 😉

Great story, AMAZING narration

What made the experience of listening to Aced the most enjoyable?

The story held me captive, and the narration was stellar.

What other book might you compare Aced to and why?

Probably Ella Frank's Temptation series, that also has engaging (and sexy) characters.

What about Charlie David’s performance did you like?

He did different voices for Ace and Dylan, and they were both sooooo sexy!!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I WANTED to. Life didn't allow that, but it was hard to put down!

Any additional comments?

This will definitely be a re-listen at some point.

BS

The story doesn't end with this volume. You'll have to get volume two and ... who knows ... it just ended at the most exciting part...

Loved Their Voices!

This story between two cocky, successful men, one deep in the closet and one out and proud, is so good! Charlie David brings both men vividly to life!

Disappointing...

After reading the Temptation series by Ella Frank I was so looking forward to another book, but this doesn’t do it for me. I struggled to finish Aced, and won’t be continuing on. In the Temptation series, I loved Tate and Logan, and their story. In this one, Ace is okay, but Dylan seems flat and annoying. He’s all angst, and I just don’t buy into their relationship.

This book gave me Stockholm syndrome

The narration was decent, sometimes struggles to keep up the correct voice for a character but I could keep track of who's talking pretty well.
I enjoyed most of the book but by the end was forcing myself to finish it. I was pretty sure I wouldn't read it again or buy the next one but then the cliffhanger and promise for Dillon's backstory came and I felt manipulated to buy it. Well done on that front I guess. The writing is ok most of the time, sometimes I absolutely love it and the characters can be pretty cool, other times it comes across as the author fangirling through Dillon or bragging about how cool he is through Ace.
I did feel a bit annoyed that it seemed every interaction between the leads ends in a sex scene, which makes the cute moments just feel like filler because they don't get the care they need. The before mentioned sex scenes weren't so good either that you would want to sacrifice the cute interactions, although it sounds like the honeymoon phase so maybe it was intentional.
Overall, I enjoyed this book as a guilty pleasure and the last cute scene was good. I recommend it if you want to feel like the boyfriend of a superstar and can look over some annoyances.

Loved it!

This is definitely one of the hottest audiobooks I've listened to! Very, very steamy scenes surround a blossoming relationship and mysterious plot. I'm so excited to discover Dylan's secrets and see what's going to happen after that teasing ending.
