The one thing about growing up an orphan was that life sucked, but at least it was my kind of sucky. It was simple, ordinary, predictable.

Until the night I woke up naked in a dark forest, surrounded by a trio of powerful shifters who plucked me from my miserable existence to tell me I'm some sort of supernatural monster.

Now I'm taking a crash course in Werewolf 101 at some freaky, secret academy. Not to mention I can't get my mind off an infuriating, yet gorgeous (and off-limits) lion shifter who loves yoga and calling me "poodle".

If I can't get my shift together in this world of underground societies and scandal, I'm going to be up a creek without a doggy-paddle. Especially when a rare ability emerges within me. The last shifter who had this so-called gift wound up dead, and if anyone finds out I possess it, so will I.

Now wolfy and I must step up our game and quit tripping over our own tail.

Life is never going to be normal again.

Great narration

I'm not sure I would've picked this up. It was recommended to me and I am very pleased I did. I have only read a few books that had people that can shift to wolves. David Eddings, TJ Klune, and Stephenie Meyer are some of the authors who have tapped into it and I enjoyed their versions of it. I would like to add Marisa Claire to the list.

I'm not great with reviews but I like what I Like so:

Brittany Goodwin was the perfect narrator for this series. I will probably follow her to some other works.

There were moments where the story was frustrating, but I chalked it up to great storytelling. The characters didn't do things how I would've. But the characters are young adults, with emotions and their own set of life experiences. So it makes sense that didn't go the way I wanted them to. But that leads to fun moments when you're reading. If you know the stereotype of people talking in a movie "screaming don't go in there." That is how I felt.

Remi do this, or for the love of god use your nose girl (haha)

Bottom line, I look forward to the next book.
I look forward to discovering the other society and school in this universe.

just lovely

I've been enjoying different shifter stories and this was a great series. I loved the character development, but the spin on the shifter communities and other fantasy/magical content was a wonderful treat to my mind. thank you

I'm loving this series! The narration was good and the character development was great. Looking forward to more from this author.

Very good werewolf college book

A little bit of mature descriptions. But that’s only late into the story

Really good voice acting if you love werewolves that are actually wolves this is definitely a good book for you to listen too
