As a politic and a practice, abolition increasingly shapes our political moment - halting the construction of new jails and propelling movements to divest from policing. This book provides a look at the past, present, and future of police Abolition from a feminist perspective. It answers key questions about how we should abolish police and ways of building a better world where police are not the primary way that we enforce safety in the world.

Great study about abolition-feminism and its history

Authors explain the fundamentals of abolition, how it is inseparable from feminism, the roots of the movement in Black women’s activism, and provide many examples of grassroots organization that have been guided by these principles.

Profound

Highly recommend this book. It’s profound message is much needed and should be required reading.
