The writing was hard to decipher

This book was so hard to get to because of the complex language used. I found myself occasionally looking words up and it was a slow listen because of that.

Pleasently surprised

Adored this book. If your a fan of historical romance or paranormal romance or both then I would definitely recommend this.
While it has far less raunchy scenes that are typical for either genre the story was still entertaining and an easy listen. The heroine did not make me want to reach into the book and slap her as I usually want to. Not to say she didnt have insipid whinny thoughts they where usually warrented and she didnt wallow. And the male lead managed to be an alpha without being an a**hole.
Would very much like the stories of the supporting characters as well. Will be keeping a look oit for more books by this author

The narrator was fabulous. I loved Felicity. The Duke is dreamy if a little clueless on wooing and the secondary characters are wonderful. Reminds me of the creatures in Cinderella!
Can’t wait for book 2!
