A very long journey

I was supplied with "A Witch's Journey " for free in return of a honest unbiased review . I found this book to be very long , its nearly 10 hours long . I was expecting more 'witchery' & less journey . The romance I found to be slow & the sex seemed to be added , not because it was vital to the story , but because it seems sex has to be added to most romance stories . This audiobook didn't have the excitement that I was expecting . The narrator , Kate Tyler as usual did a excellent narration .

Quick, engaging romance with a witchcraft twist.

If you could sum up A Witch's Journey in three words, what would they be?

Romance, Witchcraft, Adventure

What did you like best about this story?

I liked when Pepper traveled. Her trip to Alaska added a great extra characters and helped develop one of the important characters, Lathen.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scenes in Alaska sounded beautiful. The narrator makes the characters distinct so it's easier to follow.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I liked the book, but I thought the sex was thrown in a little quickly and was a little more graphic than I needed.

Any additional comments?

Well read! I like the narrator, Kate. She's got a good voice that's easy to listen to and brings the story to life!

Sweet Easy Read

If you are looking for a sweet easy read this is it. There is not much action or conflict in this book and there is alot of extra unnecessary fluff. Numerous times things are mentioned that I thought would come into play later but they never did and then other times things happen wit no explanation when there really needed to be one. That being said it was a very enjoyable story overall and everything was wrapped up nicely at the end. The narrator did a fantastic job bringing the story to life with easy to understand and distinguishable character voices.

An Exciting Journey Through Lobster Cove!

This is a fun, entertaining listen full of magic, romance, humor and paranormal creatures. I really enjoyed it and, in fact, finished the book in one sitting. Kate Tyler's narration is great. She does an excellent job giving each character a unique voice which really brings the book to life. I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

A Witch's Journey

Pepper has inherited her family's special property. It's a dream come true. Pepper has no idea how special the property is until all these wonderful things start to happen and then some bad ones. Before her late aunt's wife moved from the property she hired Lathen to handle some of the renovations. Pepper and Lathen almost immediately hit it off. But they both have lots of secrets to be revealed before either can have a happy ending. Kate Tyler does a fantastic job on the narration.

A witch and a Shifter

A Witch's Journey is book one in Tena Stetler's new series The Lobster Cove Series. The book to me was a sweet paranormal romance. It basically focuses on the main characters budding romance. If you want sweet and romance based this is a good book. With a witch and a shifter I figured there would be more magic going on. The blurb to the book really made it sound like this book would be action packed. Sadly it was not.

Pepper Mckay is from a long line of witches. Her Aunt passed away a few years ago and left everything to Pepper once her partner Colleen either moves or passes away. Colleen has decided to move closer to her family and ends the life contract. So Pepper at a very low point in her life receives her inheritance.

Pepper loads up and moves to Lobster Cove Maine. She decides to turn the land into a wildlife center. This is when she meets Navy Seal Lathan. He is the town handyman and also a Wolf Shifter. At the minute he cannot shift due to an injury during his military service.

Pepper and Lathan very quickly let their mutual attraction for each other turn into a serious romance.

There are a few times during the book I thought things were going to get moving, but those things were handled very calmly and easily and did not jump the story into gear for me. I like a little mystery, I like a lot of paranormal, I like some romance, but I love some heart pounding moments, this book just didn't have that. I guess it would be a good story for a lazy day or before bed.

I did listen to the audiobook. It is narrated by Kate Tyler. I have to admit the story may of been a bit better with a different narrator. I prefer narrators to had more depth to the characters and even the story parts. Kate would at times read..one..word..at..a..time. I really did not care for her male character voices at all either.

Romance heavy but not bad

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was a decent book. I'm not a huge fan of the romance genre, but have found I can still enjoy paranormal romance stories if they are balanced. This one fell on the romance side a bit, but not so much that I couldn't still enjoy it. It had just enough paranormal aspects, though, to keep my attention. Kate Tyler's narration is great and is a large part of why I was able to finish the book. If you're a big fan of romance books, you'll love it. If you are like me, and don't mind some romance with your urban fantasy, then you will probably enjoy it, though that will depend on your romance threshold.

Not as much depth as I'd like

I liked Tyler's narration a lot. I feel like she portrayed the characters well and showed emotion while she was reading to us. It felt realistic with the romantic scenes. I liked her normal reading voice as well, it was even paced! I give it a 5/5 for good production!

The story I liked for the most part. It had a good amount of fun and twists in the plot. But I also feel like it could have gone deeper. I found the sexy scenes to have a lot of emotion, but outside that I just didn't connect with the story overall. I would give the story a 3.5/5 stars for giving me a mostly feel good story, but not exploring the characters in as much depth as I would like.

I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Kate Tyler. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.
