What a sexy sexy book. If you want some sarcasm and banter with your enemies to lovers, this is it. Seriously, it is.

Maddie is the executive assistant to Declan. Basically she’s the super efficient right arm to Declan’s real estate lawyerly things.

They are both hot and both simultaneously want to fight and devour each other. The build up and the banter that leads to this is *chef’s kiss* amazing.

Let’s face it, this book might have made me feel things.

Another great part of this book is Kayley Loring adding a hearty element of family. It’s something I have noticed in her books and this one, I loved Declan’s mixed Italian and Irish families and Maddie’s precocious butt adoring teenage niece, Piper.

I thought the end fell a teeny weeny bit flat, but this couple just kept the heat going. I really loved that.

Listened to the audio version and loved it. Connor Crais was great as Declan. Mackenzie Cartwright was amazing, but not just as Maddie, she had the best delivery as Piper. This is going in my relisten list just because of her.

Really enjoyed this!

I have been underwhelmed by most of the Christmas romance recommendations, but really enjoyed the characters and storyline. Voice actors were fantastic as well.

Oh my god

It’s so good. The amount of times a squealed. Oh my god. And when he pulls out the Irish accent, I didn’t know what to do with myself

Plagiarism?

This book, published in 2020 has almost the exact same plot as a book by Viceland and Penelope Ward, called the Christmas pact, which was published in 2019.

Yup - my new go to Christmas story

Funny, sweet and steamy! I loved it! Narrators were great and the story was perfect. No heavy drama just a great rom-com contemporary story to put you in the holiday mood. This will definitely be one I listen to every December.

Hilarious banter, couldn't put it down

I like to listen to books to fall asleep. This story had me laughing out loud so much that I had a hard time putting it away so I could sleep. Multiple times I was stifling my laughter so I wouldn't wake my spouse, till one outburst finally had me laughing so hard I just gave up and LOL till my husband woke with a start thinking I was crying. I thought the writing was hilarious and the banter between the narrators was perfectly timed to keep me giggling away. I thoroughly enjoyed this and highly recommend it for the spirit and laughter of the season!

Great holiday read! Funny

All the feels. Is a quick easy funny read, I hope the niece gets her own book next

A great fun read

I have read this book twice. I was half way done with it before I clued into that fact. but never less it was still a fun read. These two people just complete each other. I very much enjoyed the narrator using such a great Irish brough that was really sexy and sounded very authentic so good job Connor. I highly recommend this book to others, enjoy your reading.

Enjoyable story

What a fun story! All of the characters in this story are fun and like able. There were laugh out loud moments. The narrators did a great job.
