I thought it was not going to work but I love it unexpected but really enjoyed

A true love story

So happy to know Samuel saw Emma for who she is as a person and not for being in a wheelchair. Love how the story tells us that people in wheelchairs are more than capable to live a normal happy life.

Another amazing piece of the Cora Reilly universe!

Samuel and Emma are the kind of couple you can't help but root for.
It was nice to get back to the Outfit through the eyes of two damaged individuals, one whose body doesn't work right, and the other whose soul is broken. Despite all the obstacles surrounding them, in true Cora fashion, they find their way.

As good as expected

Nice, sweet story considering the mafia universe it's in

I loved the story, the narration was good, both performers giving their characters their own style.

It suffers, for me , of the same defect of every M/F story that's not a duet narration, I can't stand when the female narrator does the male parts and viceversa, I wish every book was a duet but alas, sometimes it's better than others

Will keep coming back to this universe, there's a lot o great stories

Touch of Fate by Cora Reilly

Another good tale of the Outfit Mafia family. While this was not one of my favorite books of Cora Riley, I did find it interesting but also lacking him anyways unfortunately. Had great potential but seem to gloss over his alcohol addiction and recovery. It just seemed like Cora ran out of steam or time on this book. It’s still a good book don’t get me wrong, I love reading about her stories regarding mafia families. I just wish that it had the intensity of her earlier books.

Sam & Emma storyline wasn’t as good as some of the others but I enjoyed it.

Narration sounds like AI

Ughh, what a disappointment! This is a DNF due to narration that sounds like AI. The female voice sounds too old for the character and I can't even describe how wooden and odd the narration sounds. The story also sounds like part of a series but it was not presented that way. There seems to be quite a bit of back story regarding some characters that might have been explained in other books? Very confusing. This was a waste of money for me.
